The more you're upvoted, to more your reputation grows.
But, does it bring anything else than prestige? Does it trigger anything in steem?
Let's put it simple, the only use of reputation is to be able to downvote...
So, it seems dangerous...
If your reputation is low, you will not be able to affect other people's reputation nor can you diminish their rewards.
If your reputation if higher then you can actually harm their rewards and reputation.
At first reputation was there as a protection tool, as lower reputation could not affect your reputation, but face it, it's now a weapon for the hodlers.
Do you really reed someone's post because he has a good reputation ? Or because the title and content brought you there? When you google for something, is there any sign of reputation on most of the results? NO...
In conclusion, reputation is prestige and power on punishing.
So, reputation in bad hands is dangerous.
--> Say no to downvotes/flags
If any hodler has a problem with you : he does not like your picture, he does not like what you post even if tons of others like it, he will hurt you without any real legit reason.

Rep has nothing to do with taking rewards.
You still take them no matter your rep.
Once you get to 60 nobody can take your rep away.
That i have seen, anyways.
