RE: Records Of Prince Andrew’s Location On Night Of Molestation Destroyed By Police

in #news4 years ago (edited)

The British taxpayer may at one point conclude subsidizing the monarchy through taxes will no longer do and end the monarchy. Yes, some members of the royal family are large landowners. Some of the property is owned by the Crown Estate, which would probably remain even after the ending of the monarchy as all the castles and monuments would remain and serve as major tourist attractions just like the Hermitage and the Summer Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. But a portion of the total costs of running the institution is borne by British taxpayers. If the royal family proves unable to not be a constant source of embarrassing scandals, the patience of the British people may end. But it's up to them. We'll see what happens.
