This is a rumour is coming from the New York Times. Apparently the parent company of the New York stock exchange wants to open trading for large amounts of Bitcoin. This is another player looking to get into the crypto world. And a very big one with that. It is not open yet but it could be another push for the coin.
The opening of exchanges on this kind of scale would be the step that entered bitcoin and crypto into the mainstream. And it makes sense that these exchanges offer bitcoin, look at all the money the crypto exchanges are making. Not to mention the amount they will be making if the value of bitcoin goes as high as some people think it will.
I will keep an eye on this to see where it leads but it is good news for crypto.

Well, if this actually happened I think we would see the prices going up quite nicely. Nice to see something positive like this. Of course, hopefully this is not just a rumor.

I have long felt the biggest weakness in crypto are the exchanges.
We are finally starting to see more legitimate exchanges.
Just last month, the owners of the Toronto Stock Exchange announced a crypto exchange of their own.
It's good news, this will serve to further boost cryptocurrencies.
This could really put the crypto mark in the mainstream media. We'll see if this happens. Steem could take off. 🙏
