Happy New Year!

in #newyear2 years ago

I've always enjoyed spending New Years in a reflective, calm solitude. The exact opposite to what the society has tried to teach me was the appropriate way of celebrating the beggining of a New Year. But you already know that I'm a soft, calm rebel.. xD

So here we go! Please enjoy some of my holiday season pictures, as I try and gather my thoughts about the 2021.

If 2020 made me realize the privilage that I'm enjoying in the way that life's unfolding, then 2021 is the year I began to realize my passion for making wine. I've received a lot of praise for both the dandelion and the apple wines and I hope to still gown and perfect my craft. So in that sense this is definitely just a beginning for me.

I love to gift it and give it away, so it runs out actually quite quickly. I'll have to see if I can step up my production next year in order to store at least some bottles of each batch for later years.. you know, as you should.. :D

I absolutely loved the chance to spend propper Christmas this year with the whole of family. I guess having one empty year is enough to be extremely exicted for the opportunity to just see everyone at the same table and just feel extremely happy and content. Like everything is back in the right places.

The traditional post-christams gaming day was planned too, but unfortunately my work had other plans for me that day/evening. I was still extra happy and excited for the ones who got to enjoy it and I'm looking forward to the years to come. I mean I'd guess it's safe to say that that's a tradition by now.

In regards to tougher stuff of life, some interesting collective unconscious things are still bubbling up. It's almost as if every night going to sleep I'm off to work, to reconcile, to love, to enlighten and to stop the judgement. It's a process, but it feels propperly paced and doable.

Otherwie the year has been reasonably calm. Taking into consideration the absolute worst case scenarios we've succesfully dodged thus far, I'd call it a success. I know, I know. My standards are low these days, but hey, if you expect the worst, you can be utterly relieved when things turn out just mediocre. xD

I don't know if I've mentioned enough times the fact that I absolutely love this chance of working from middle of nowhere. I do not miss the capital at all. Besides, no capital city should have half of the countries population in it in the first place. So even if my work would suddenly demand me to get back to the office, I'd look for a remote work options elsewhere. Not all of us always need to be out there in the public, noise and pollution, you know!

How has your year been? It feel as if everyone's going through some serious transformations lately. New phases of life, new prospects, new adventures. Hope it all works out nicely for y'all!

I hope 2022 is kind, gentle and soothing to us all. God knows we all deserve to rest and take things easy for a bit!

Hugs&Coffee,
~Josie~
