Introducing NFTMart

Hive is bursting with NFT madness, and it can be a bit of a bother tracking down the different markets, listing, searching listings, and buying. NFTMart is here to help!

What is NFTMart?

NFTMart will be Hive's one stop shop for buying, selling, and trading NFTs. Different features will be rolled out individually, so this launch has NFTMart doing one thing and doing it well. In the future, expect to see all of your favorite NFTs available. Just for starters...

Buy and Sell dCity Cards Now!

dCity players have struggled to find a convenient to access and easy-to-use market, but that ends today
Here is the default view
image.png
image.png

Rather than showing all the cards in a jumbled mess, NFTMart presents only the lowest priced card for each currency. Filter by the desired currency, search for that needed card (or browse through them all), and add to cart with a single click. Need more than one card? Click more than one card. A tooltip displays the price of the next card as you click through a stack

image.png

For security of your information and to reduce the trust you need to have in us, NFTMart supports both Hive Keychain and HiveSigner. Checking out requires only a single click of the checkout icon.

Listing dCity Cards on NFTMart

With a buying process that slick and easy, of course NFTMart offers a fast and convenient selling interface.

It works much the same as the Buy interface, you click all the cards that you want to add to your selection (to sell)

image.png

So, I want to sell 5 luxury homes, so I select luxury home 5 times (by clicking 5 times)

image.png

Now, we click the Sell Button (Hand with Dollar Sign).

image.png

After clicking the button, our enthusiastic dialog will await your orders

image.png

So I want to sell all of these cards for 1.5 Hive (not SWAP.HIVE) Each, so I enter my sell price as 1.5, and my currency as HIVE

image.png

Click the sell button and either Keychain or HiveSigner will help you to complete the transaction

image.png

Just confirm it, and your cards will now be on sale for the price you specified (1.5 Hive per Card in my case)

image.png

🎉 Done!

But wait, there's more!

Tired of being restricted to buying and selling in Engine tokens? NFTMart allows the use of HIVE and HBD directly! No more losing that 1% on deposit and withdrawal

NFTMart Is Just Getting Started

Having a gorgeous and fast market for dCity is a big step forward for those interested in playing and collecting dCity NFTs, but it is only the beginning of NFTMart. Some of the features on the roadmap include:

  • more NFT markets - if it is an NFT on Hive, it should be on NFTMart
  • trade NFTs - list what you have and what you want and wait for an interested party to complete the trade. Swap @risingstargame cards for @dcitygame cards. No need to fish through a Discord
  • Buy Orders - Set a buy order less than the current sell price, and we'll match it with a seller if one sells for your price.

@cadawg was offline at the time, but you can add @nachofigx, @rishi556, @sn0n, and myself to your list 😃

*edit:
There are market fees like any other market - we receive 1% on HIVE/HBD sales and 5% on Hive Engine sales. When you "Mint" a card on NFTM.art, you may notice the transaction also looks a little bit different

Effectively, we only make money by being a better market place

*edit the 2nd: In Which @justinashby Comes to Understand Why I Speak More in Discords

That 1% fee is promotional and only in place for the first week on HIVE/HBD. It will go to 2.5%

*edit the 3rd: This is Why Foxon Doesn't Get Keys
should clarify that the market fees are set when listed. When listed through @nftmart, Hive Engine token sales are set to 5%. We don't have control over listings created by other market interfaces

...

I derpped that part out 😂
edited to add the fees!

If you're asking about my personal cut? You'll see that from my NFT sales in the near future 😃 No portion of the fees comes to me, but I have been building a nice collection of NFTs with all this Hive gaming going on. Not having to manage that across 4 different websites will be lovely

OMG, now I read it. 1% on deposit and withdrwal.
Sorry I read it twice and still missed it.

I would edit this to make it stand out, also add the team...

I agree! The team is rad... especially the part that gets keys to the accounts 😆

I will make sure they get your suggestion

Love the site! Should definitely be decoupled from dcity and used as a whole hive nft market!

Ash, that is the idea, more NFT projects will be added, but we needed to start with one project. So more NFTs will be listed soon!

awesome! :)

Looks really slick!! You are a dark horse @foxon! :P

Look forward to seeing Rising Star NFTs soon.

Anything that helps make things better for players is good in my book!

Rising Star - Play For FREE, Earn Crypto & Tradable NFTs on HIVE!

NFTMart definitely needs to get Rising Star! My favorite Hive game <3

Hey @foxon, here is a little bit of BEER from @atomcollector for you. Enjoy it!

I don't understand.

How does this integrate with NFTShowroom, or are you basically splitting the focus on that project?

Or are you simply creating an NFT exchange for Dcity?

Or will you be including Splinterlands cards as well?

This wasn't made by the same team as NFTShowroom. We are independent developers who decided to develop something new. We chose not to start building something with NFTShowroom, but instead focus on a marketplace DCity cards as we are players of the game. We do plan on including other games and NFTs in the future, DCity was just the first one we implemented as we were familiar with it.

That's a shame. You could have learned something from opensea.io.

As well as the myriad of nft marketplaces on ETH struggling for differentiation.

It makes sense as a project for Dcity -- in that there is a separate market for Splinterlands trades as well.

I just think the whole HIVE NFT experience could have been a lot more powerful with a "Both And" Vision of NFTs on HIVE, instead of a "We're easier and don't use SWAP Hive and we have DCity."

I'm sure you have a marketplace value because you are providing something useful for the Dcity players -- and I wish you well, but just -- as an outsider, I wish there was a more coherent NFT Vision for HIVE, because I feel like that would have been a stronger market presence.

"We're like Opensea - but for HIVE"

Is a stronger position, in my opinion.

It's like all of these artists are pimping NFTShowroom --

And you come along second place, and you're like -- "No, us. + We've got Dcity."

Not a marketing move I would have designed -- but respect to you and your project.

I just think cryptoart is going to have a difficult enough time combatting with ETH v. HIVE in the long term.

You at least have the advantage of functionality and an existing user base. I hope that works out for you.

Cheers.

That would be a shame 😂

NFTMart will be Hive's one stop shop for buying, selling, and trading NFTs

DCity is just the opening market. While we aren't setting a vision for NFTs on Hive, we are setting the vision that NFTs on Hive should be easier to use. Easier to create, easier to buy, easier to sell. We are working toward that. DCity is popularly traded and makes sense as the first NFT offering

Having opensea.io for Hive is a good way of expressing what we are doing with this. I fully encourage you to be skeptical and let us know what NFTMart should add next. Really appreciate the feedback!

Nice to meet you - I am more associated with the artists on NFTShowroom.

I know they are trying hard to make that a place for NFTs on HIVE - and it just seemed like it would be easier to have a synergistic marketing / outreach effect, if there was a singular destination for NFTs on HIVE.

But I"m not a dev.

I also think there are too many NFT projects on ETH.

Glad you all are nice, and open to discussion. That's a cool thing to see.

Thanks for commenting, and best to your launch.

NFT Showroom is awesome! We love what they're doing and hope to support it in the future. NFT Showroom is specifically for trading and collecting art. Opensea (and NFTMart as it grows) have NFTs for games and whatever else in addition to art. Much like opensea.io, NFTMart doesn't create the NFTs, make the art showrooms, or design the games. We're just a place to buy and sell these things.

@nachofigx is very happy that you mentioned opensea.io 😄

It is our hope that making things easier will provide exactly the kind of synergy between markets and creators needed to help grow NFTs on Hive. For opensea.io, there is a definition on chain for NFTs that it can utilize. As Hive solutions are either Hive Engine or proprietary, it will take more effort to do and can't be simply done for all NFT types at once. If the super smart guys get NFTs directly on Hive, then we'll have those for sale on NFTMart too :)

As long as you figure out how to sell NFTs minted on NFTShowroom, -- Then you would be like opensea for hive.

Hello, I am part of the team, and that idea of being the OpenSea for Hive, its something that takes time and effort, we are starting with one project, but we really want to open our platform for as many Hive projects as we can, right now we have been contact by other games intersted on our market, sure we will need to be open to what the community needs, I am sure we will get there, just give us some time and your feedback is very welcome! NFTs are the next thing and we are part of this evolution.

Yep. Thank you.

I'm no dev, so I'm not sure what the details are for creating a project like opensea.

I know that they have some sort of development kit, but I'm also not sure how that translates from ETH to HIVE.

Either way -- I'm glad that you're connecting with other games -- that ought to be great.

I'd personally like to see Splinterlands, Dcity and Cryptoart all on the same marketplace.

But, Splinterlands has an older marketplace, and I believe Aggroed worked to design the NFTShowroom -- I have inquiried about whether or not those might be combined in the future, and I think they may be.

I would have just imagined that it would be easier to piggyback on a project, rather than start your own project. but I'm sure you have reasons for doing what you're doing.

Thanks for being open to discussion / input -- and for being kind.

Have a good evening.

Actually, we thought to promote ourselves as "The OpenSea - But for Hive", but we wanted to wait and see if the community would detect that, so yea we want to reach that, and add new features over time. So let's do it together!

Well, as I mentioned -- HIVE totally needs a coherent Marketplace for its games.

You ought to see what you can do about absorbing Splinterlands.

I just see a great deal of momentum for #cryptoart already with NFTShowroom, -- so I think you're kind of behind the ball on that one. But, I hope that you're able to figure out a way to work things out for multiple games / projects on HIVE -- that would be stellar.

Lol you mad..

Selling resources for games makes more sense than trying to get tokens for memes(pretending to be art).

You'll realise as time passes that this formula here has a bigger future because as you've pointed out it could be implemented to any already existing game or yet to be created game.

NFTshowbroom needs people to actually buy with emotion for support for the artist rather than for something that they can actually utilize in a game.

This is amazing! Keep going! :D

Thank you. We are already working on making it even better.

Awesome... I have one problem though. Nftshowroom.

Hive is too small to have such direct competition on it in a new market.
If nftmart is all encompassing I'd suggest that you guys somehow merge with Nftshowroom.
Would be best for everyone involved.

Thanks for your input.

We understand your concerns but we believe that NFTMart serves a different purpose than NFT Showroom, we're open to collaboration and suggestions, but believe that we should be our own service.

The NFTMart Team

NFT Showroom is an art tokenization platform running on Hive Engine. It provides token creation, hosting space, and utilizes Hive Engine to provide an API. NFTMart does not create NFTs, provide the hosting space for the files, nor provide the API to handle the NFT. They are complementary, not competition

Our goal is to enable NFT creators to reach a wider market with an easy to use interface, not compete with NFT creators

NFTMart intends to also enable L2 solutions outside of Hive Engine... hopefully more news on that soon ;)

For the occasional reader a small translation of what NFT stands for would be great. I googled a little but no luck.

Hi there,

NFT stands for Non-Fungible token. It is a type of token where each token is unique. For example, dollars are fungible because if I have a dollar and you have a dollar, they are equal and could be swapped without any of us making a fuss. A non-fungible token has properties that make each token unique and therefore each token can have a different value.

I hope this cleared it up for you, if not, feel free to let me know and I'll get another member of the team to explain it (because I'm not the best at explaining stuff)! Here's the Wikipedia page on NFTs which may help

Thanks,
~ CA

Can't wait to see other NFTs being included!

Neither can we. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks for your support!

Hey @nftmart, here is a little bit of BEER from @risingstargame for you. Enjoy it!

Learn how to earn FREE BEER each day by staking your BEER.

Great work.
Resources for [insert project] make so much sense as a successful and sustainable system that utilizes NFTs.

If only SMTs could be released as the second layer missing here, then projects would really take off.

Nice information on NFT. Learn alot today.

You haven't mentioned that how to mint NFT card?

There's a button to do that on the top bar Mint Cards

You can press it and select how many you want and how you'd like to pay for it.

I still don't understand how it works but is there already a definitive version or is it still in beta?

Muy buen post, es muy instructivo y explicito, gracias por compartir, te dejo mi voto y te sigo.
