OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1682nd compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

The Burden of Excess

The most challenging thing for me about travelling that contributes to why I don't exactly like it is the idea of packing and then moving what I have packed. It is usually an arduous task for me, so I take a deep breath whenever I have to. But I think I have now learned a valuable lesson to make things less complicated for me.

LOH Contest #192- Fewer friends after 30

Friendship is something that I consider very valuable, however at different times in my life I have given it more or less importance, I think that over time we learn to distinguish between different types of friendships, and depending on our age we may have a different perspective on friendship. I know that there are people who are rather solitary, who prefer their own company, and that really having friends is not a necessity, in my case it is, to be able to share, to live experiences, to laugh, to feel that I have by my side someone I can trust, someone who enjoys my company and vice versa seems to me a treasure. As the sayings of the Encarta encyclopedia back in the year 2000 said "chi trova un amico trova un tesoro" who finds a friend finds a treasure.

NATURE'S COLORS

Hello everyone, good afternoon. I hope you are having a very nice weekend. I tell you that lately I have taken as therapy, practicing photography, and I am passionate about capturing all kinds of photos, it's like a hunt for some image that I find interesting. But the ones I enjoy the most are those of nature, yes, our wonderful nature.

Me libero y te libero | I release myself and I release you

It is undoubtedly a topic of discussion and one that not everyone feels comfortable with. There is just one small detail, I don't have a partner, so I won't answer the questions. Although this topic is not limiting, we can find ties in various moments, people, or aspects of ourselves. Therefore, recognizing it and freeing ourselves is part of our mental health, achieving goals, and even financial stability.

HOOK-BILLED KITE (Chondrohierax uncinatus) || ENG-ESP || (4 Pics)

Hello #Hive visual friends!... Today I bring to share with you four "unexpected" and different pictures of my most recent photographic topics (streets and macros)... It happened like this: "Yesterday morning I was rushing back home after a fruitful street photography walk, as the rain had started to fall and promised to get heavier in a few minutes. Then, as soon as I entered my garage door, I noticed the presence of a bird of prey in the branches of an avocado tree in my backyard? Wow, what a beautiful bird!... But I immediately remembered that I had my little 50mm lens on my camera, which was totally useless for photographing this bird at about eight metres distance... So I ran to my room in search of a 55-300mm zoom lens which I usually use for this kind of photos!... :)

An Early Rain (1966): duel of deception | duelo de engaños

When talking about Asian cinema, good Japanese cinema and good South Korean cinema are always mentioned. However, I had the impression that I had always heard the film industry of this second country mentioned as something emerging and new, whose oldest reference seemed to be Kim Ki-duk with those brilliant films from the early 2000s. Japan had Kurozawa, Ozu, Mizoguchi, Kobayashi, but did South Korea have any famous film directors in the previous decades of the 20th century?

Marks of childhood that shaped me. (WEEK 213)

In particular, these experiences were the marks and drivers of my life. If that had not happened, then my life would be different or maybe there would be no life at all.

Garden Journal july No rain no gain.

Hello to all the Hive gardeners and community members. Greetings and happy gardening! We were hoping for rain to nourish our garden, but unfortunately, it has been very dry. Despite this, we have noticed that a few drops of rain have caused the grass to grow, and some plants, such as calendula, lambs quarters, poppy, wild strawberries, raspberry bushes, and evergreen red currant, have thrived without needing much water. Our sweet peas are growing and flowering, and we have also discovered some volunteer potatoes from last year. Unfortunately, the pumpkins, green beans, and squash didn't make it, and the tomato plants are still small, but we're hoping for fruits in September. Some herbs like chives, mint, thyme, and marjoram are doing well. our kale and arugula disappeared from last year even though we tried sowing seeds repeatedly. Despite the challenges, we harvested red currants yesterday. We have some jars of jam and jelly from last year. This year, we're trying to dry the berries to preserve them. But the sky became cloudy and I had to make the crushed red currants for use as fast as possible. I started writing this post and the rain started it was real rain. And I thought it better to take a few photos after the rain.

Homemade Springy and Bouncy Toy for Blu the Kitten

While doing so, I found a tangled wire and thought about making a toy for Blu, the kitten. He really entertained us, so I didn't mind spending a little time making something for him, especially since toys play an important role in a kitten's development.
