OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1800th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Things began to change shortly before the opening of a new supermarket in the area where Luis had his business. An acquaintance let him know some very valuable information: he told him that the supermarket planned to set up a small café on its premises, something very simple, selling coffee, pastries, and some sweets. They had not thought of offering prepared food, hamburgers, or hot dogs.

Stepping into MONO, a modern Japanese Café, is entering a place that is a serene oasis of a traditional culture and modern design. This café which is located in the middle of the city has also gained a reputation over the years for the way it blends the flavors together and presents them artistically. Its delightful offerings of which I had heard whispers piqued my curiosity and I was burning to try it myself.

Since I can't go there for now, I'll just have it in the grass field. Today is the first Wednesday in June, so after filing my application for DL, I proceeded to my walk. It was just a brief one—a barely half an hour walk—when I reached the grass field near our house.

That's why today I share with you this reflection: it's not just about taking care of our time. Like almost everything in life, we need to find a balance. Not only is the phrase that time is immeasurable valid; so is the idea of being flexible when it comes to distributing it. Even in those things that are not at the top of our priorities. Because, as in a pyramid, the floors below are just as important and contribute to the solidity of the whole.

Hello to all the members of this community and craft lovers! In a previous post, I showed you how I made a book-shaped box, which was part of a birthday gift I made for my sister. This time, I'll show you how I decorated the box inspired by the series Our Flag Means Death, a series that my sister loves and that's why I made her some Stede and Ed plushies, who are the main characters. Since the series is based on pirates, I wanted a box that reflected that nautical style a bit ⚓️

Hello, happy day to all. The countdown for the CardioRun 2025 race/walk in the city of El Tigre has begun. This competition is held every year and is sponsored by Policlinica Del Sur, the same company that organizes the Pink Race every year.

I continue in the 5 km walk, I do not yet feel ready to upgrade to the 10 km race, but I will not rule out this possibility in the future, since the competitors are of all ages. In fact, in our Vida team, there are participants older than me who are going to represent us in the 10 km race. They are tough women that I love and admire.

Hello dear Hive community, I tell you that this weekend I went with my family to the Aquareptarium of Caricuao, in Caracas, which is a special area of the Caricuao Zoo located at the entrance of the zoo. Its structure is really particular because it is shaped like a Bothrops Medura, one of the endangered snakes that comes from the coastal mountain range and there we were able to see and learn about 92 types of reptiles and amphibians of our country, Venezuela.

Avocado and lemon, I never imagined that a delicious sorbet could be obtained from these fruits, however, it is enough to know a recipe to realize that the internet is full of similar ones.

Hello hivers. As an animal protectionist, I've primarily rescued dogs and cats, but sometimes I've come across other living beings along the way that I've also been able to help, such as bats, mice, reptiles, insects, and of course, birds. Last week, I found a bird in my building's parking lot. I'd seen it early from my balcony, standing on the ground near one of the walls. Obviously, I didn't pay attention to her because that part of the parking lot is open, and every morning, many birds of different species come to rummage around, rest, sunbathe, etc.
