OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2074th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Hey familia, it's another round of Hive Open Mic, and this week's theme is Fireworks. At first I wasn’t sure how to connect with it, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how some memories explode inside us like quiet sparks—sudden, beautiful,and sometimes bittersweet. I wanted to explore that kind of inner fire, the one that doesn’t make noise but leaves a mark. That’s where this week’s song, Subiré, comes from Hola familia, otra semana más de Hive Open M

There was a time when dreams existed, along with vocation, the desire to change the world, and the deepest motivation. But it hurts that "we who were then are no longer the same." Perhaps it’s due to the magical—or tragic—wand of fighting to survive, where I became a magician not to perform wonders, but juggling acts. And if my context were a circus—not one of forced laughter, but of tension between the leap and the fall—I gradually shifted from magician to juggler of subsistence.

I had already started to be part of the Holos team, invited by Damarys and Mirianna, when in a work meeting I received with great joy the news that María Luisa was joining the staff of our columnists. Now we were also teammates. From that moment on our contact was permanent, almost every day we communicated to organize community activities. At that time both she and I had programs in Discord, it was a time of a lot of activity in our beloved Holos community.

There are small rituals that transform everyday life into something special. For me, that sacred moment is when I drink my coffee. It's not only for the energy it gives me, but also for the calm it gives me. It's a tradition I learned from my mother, who always found time to enjoy a good coffee, even on the busiest days.

When we are children, we don’t have to worry about anything; everything comes easily. We are cared for and overprotected. But when adolescence arrives, we become a bit rebellious. That’s when we start saying, “I want to be of legal age.” I’ve always liked rock, and I can’t remember how many times I argued with my mom because she wouldn’t let me go to concerts when I was just 15 years old. I always said I wanted to be of legal age so I wouldn’t have to ask for permission and could leave the house. And now that I’m not with my mom, I wish I could have her with me every day of my life, but it’s not the same as seeing her for a little while compared to having her 24/7. A greeting to everyone in this beautiful Open Mic community. This week, #273, we explore the theme “Firework.” I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of “Firework,” a song that blends genres like Dance and Pop, composed by Katy Perry, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen, Sandy Wilhelm, and Ester Dean. This piece of music is in Ab Major, and in my case, I play it in Bb Major. The tempo is moderate, with a time signature of 4/4. This week’s theme aligns with the day of my post, July 4th, a day when the United States’ independence is celebrated with fireworks. The lyrics are an anthem of empowerment, self-acceptance, and the importance of letting each individual’s inner light shine. Feelings of insecurity are transformed into an affirmation of worth and potential. I believe that we all need to know who we are and what we can become.

Everything is definitely connected. We live in a… let’s say… grid of time and events, as if it were a game of levels we must unlock. I say this, and I can already see you raising a sceptical eyebrow — but listen closely. What follows will prove it.

Music is not only the art of transmitting passion, but simply sounds can be converted into various forms or formulas quite varied and can contribute in a quite incredible and enjoyable way in that we are part of something bigger than we could ever know.

I hope you are well, today I want to share with you a handmade children's story with materials that I had at hand, the result was not what I wanted, but, for not having all the tools I wanted, I liked it and especially my nephew, who had to expose it. So, here I show you a little bit of the process to make it and all the changes I made until I got to the final result.
