Experiences come and go, some count in life... Others do not and even so,
some are percieved as trivial
In the life of an everyday physician/surgeon....ur patients come in sick, with any sort of complain that u simply brace up to attend to, with the best medical or surgical approach there is........
In d psychology Of the patient - I will leave the hospital treated, cured and be back to my normal state of health, having seen my Dr....
In the heart Of The physician - I will do my utmost best,to ensure my patient works out of the clinic or theatre satisfied and back to near normal State of health as possible......
Above are pre-concieved psychological scenario of both parties...
But the glaring truth remains a bitter sweet tale.....
Many a time...
The Above preconceived description is achieved over time,
At other times... Patients may get worse
And at other times.....
Patient's case maybe so bad dat death can Criss Cross at some point during treatment, after treatment or even right there on the surgical table!
In all these... The Physician/Surgeon has definitely got a burden to bear..... One which may not be expressed but papably felt during the course of his or her medical practice......
It reminds of a surgery for one of my patient in which the aura of we the surgeons, nurses and others were so calm that even atmosphere within could lay claim as a witness......
Surgery went on smoothly, almost bloodless and perfect!
We were all happy.....
Patient was happy and very satisfied
This is one in many experiences.....
Not all days are calm.....
Some bitter.... Some exhaustive
Some Sweet...... Some just dere
Just like a blend of fine bitter wine cocked up...
In all these,
The experiences of a physician/surgeon are remarkable and are imprinted on an imaginary tabloid of medical practice for future references
Walking down the road through this path....
The Physician/Surgeon has got only but a purpose..........
Saving lives and Promoting Healthful living..
And no matter how turtous these paths may be
As a Physician/Surgeon,U still maintain ur stead
And often times, patients draw courage and hope from these aspects of our Aura!
A constant reminder of
who we are,
what we do
And how it affects our patients
The Eternal Burden of everyday life of medical practice......
As a Physician/Surgeon
#More epistles to come.....
