Say no to the Internet Tax!!!

Canadians pay some of the highest Internet bills in the world.1 Yet, the CRTC has just revived the already defunct Internet Tax proposal,2 which would drive up Internet bills even higher than they already are.

The proposal to apply a tax on Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will be a cost sure to be passed to Internet users. This disastrous idea would disproportionately punish low-income Canadians — widening the digital divide, and forcing the most vulnerable Canadians offline.3

Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly has already consulted Canadians on this exact issue and the response was overwhelming — Canadians fiercely rejected the Internet Tax.4

Minister Joly already rejected an Internet Tax, but this report puts the ball squarely back in her court.5 We need to call her to make sure she doesn’t backtrack.

When you click the MAKE THE CALL button, the system will call your phone and patch you through.
