Nightwatch.....

Hi all! One more for the week, called "Nightwatch." I did an image a while ago with a painted background that I thought came out really well. I still had the original file kicking around, so I repurposed the image and threw in another character, similar to the one I used previously, but redone much clearer and less blurred. Thinking of using this for phone cover art. Anyway, here it is, along with a gif to show the process.

"In darkness they came... through the fog of dense smoke and the cries of the dying,... they came. The 32nd had been sent to end the fighting on Velousia Prime. By the time they finally arrived; however, there was damn little left to do other than try and pick up the pieces. Damn war...."
