Okay let's gossip a little🤣

Here is a parting gift I made for this handsome man right here. my client refused telling me his name. I don't know why. But that's by the way. I am super excited that I was strong enough to face this piece despite the negative feedbacks.

Below is the first piece I made and I got a lot of negative feedback like "Why is he looking slim?, That background looks like a village background, why isn't it sharp like your previous works? These and many more negative vibes were fed to my brain and because the delivery deadline was just by the corner, I was thrown into anxiety.

I hate complains and I hate disappointments so I had to put in my best to make my client happy. I made my subject healthy🤣 and I eliminated the village background. But how does a village background look like?🤣

Clients should really learn how to play with the emotions of creatives. It affects creativity and I know some of my colleagues who have given up because they can't endure bad vibes.

I have a way of fighting anxiety and whenever I finish a challenging piece like this, I feel like I have done a great thing for myself. To me, this is the joy of being a creative.

Below is the reference picture.

I know how important it is for me to be taking progress shots. Sometimes when time is against me, I forget to take progress shots. But I was lucky enough to get Few progress shots of the first attempt.

Here are the few ones I took.

I want to take out time to appreciate you all for always supporting despite my inconsistency. It really means a lot to me. I love you always.

which one is your favourite? The first or the second attempt?

Sort:

I sort of like the first one, I like the floor that he is standing on, that adds to the image in my opinion, I am not sure however what the other part of the background was supposed to be, to me it kind of looks like he is standing in front of a rather thin and big mattress. Using the reference photo I think a a nice paneled (wood), wall or brick wall would have been nice, but I am no art critic, like I said I kind of liked the first one.

Thank you @bashadow for your kind opinion. I really appreciate. I loved the first one too. My phone camera couldn't do justice to it. The artwork physically, Is so beautiful that a friend of mine begged me not to redraw.

I think that people in general can't appreciate what others are doing or they can't express themselves very well. It would be sad to think that a lot of them don't care about your feelings even though I believe it's unfortunately the case. People are like this and I'm sorry to hear that you had bad experience.

You are a great artists and your drawings look always realistic. Just forget this episode and move on :)

PS: I think he is healthy looking on both pictures :)

Thank you for sharing and have a great day!

It's the sad reality. Some people don't understand mental stress and How far nice words and encouragement can go in making someone not to see their talent as a curse. People need this orientation. It is really sad

As always my friend, I love all your work! Especially the first one for me though ... although both are unbelievable to me. Your talent still astounds me buddy. Try not to let other's bad vibes enter you and affect your work; continue to believe in your talent and block out all other's negativity ... especially since those people could maybe only draw a stick man haha

Hope you're well :)

hahahaha some can't draw a crooked line. I am doing great thanks for asking. and I hope you doing great too. thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement. I really appreciate

I agree with @delishtreats they both are beautiful works.
You are an outstanding artist, who had been around. I had someone make a negative comment about my coloring, and I'm not even an artist!!! Hahahaha!

Wow, both painting are amazing. But the first one, with the floor making a contrast, is my favourite! Well done, @unyimeetuk!
