Scarlett was sipping her glass of red wine when a familiar face and figure suddenly appeared in front of her. She was caught redhanded by her husband having a dinner date with Rusell, her ex-boyfriend. She panicked and all her bright red lips could manage to utter was, "It's not what you think."

Tonight, she chose to wear the red cocktail dress that Rod bought three years ago as an anniversary present for her. She had never worn it once. "What was I thinking?" How could she explain that it was not her intention to hurt Rod? She thought that it was the only way she could help resurrect her husband's company, which was approaching its imminent death or bankruptcy.

Tonight, she executed her plan to revive it, somehow. Scarlett knew that Russell still had strong feelings for her, and he would do anything for her, regardless of the fact that she was already married.

"It's not what you think," Scarlett repeated. Rod only looked viciously at both of them. His red eyes were filled with rage and tears. He desperately wanted to punch Russell in the face, but he was aware of the ogling eyes of the people around him.

Rod left the restaurant instead without saying a word. He made his mind up that he was not going to forgive his wife. He didn't need an explanation from her. He sat morosely in his car, contemplating on the preceding events that led their marriage to this.
"Is our marriage over?"
"How was I not able to see this?"

Her face with glowing red lips and makeup hovered in his mind, then he decided to switch the car engine on. He came to a decision that he was going to win her back. He would wait for her to come home and they would talk. There was still time for reparations and their marriage could be saved.

Meanwhile, Scarlett hurriedly went home. She wanted to make it right with her husband. She could not count anymore how many times she left him messages on his phone. She turned the TV on and sat on the sofa, whilst holding her glass of wine. Home and Away was on. She could not bother switching channels. She was more consumed with thoughts of the right words to tell Rod to make him understand that what she did was for the best of them.

During a commercial break, Southern Cross News reported about a fatal accident of a car crashing into a speeding truck. Scarlett thought the car was familiar. "No, it couldn't be," she nervously muttered.

A glass of red wine was not enough. She poured in some more red wine when her first glass was finished. Then she had some more. When the reporter confirmed the name of the victim, her hand suddenly lost control and dropped the glass onto her sofa.

Thanks @mariannewest. It just suddenly dawned on me that about a month ago, I commented on a post where I wrote an anecdote/short story. Here's the link:
https://steemit.com/writing/@angelveselinov/stach-short-story-contest-23-a-blood-red-sky-my-first-original-fictional-story-enjoy#@evlachsblog/re-angelveselinov-stach-short-story-contest-23-a-blood-red-sky-my-first-original-fictional-story-enjoy-20180324t134941422z

And that story was also tragic.

"Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors' warning. " My story goes like this: A fisherman, who was a father of five children, went out to sea one sunny morning to try his luck again. His family had not eaten a decent meal for over two days now. The children were starving. The fisherman thought he could drop the net for an hour, hoping for a good catch. He was filled with excitement because his boat would be loaded with hundreds of fish. His family would no longer be hungry. But as he was drawing the heavy net back into his boat, thunder and lightning struck. Storm was raging in. The next day, the children were still waiting for their father while their mother was secretly mourning.

Ohhh. Red must bring it out for you :) We are going to give you different colors for happy stories :)

I never thought of it that way. When I'd go to a funeral, I was hesitant to wear a red dress. I would ask my husband if it would be rude of me to wear red. So I'd wear black or white to be safe.

Scarlett knew Rod would not approve. He had too much pride and ego and he would not let his wife redeem him and his company. He would ask any other person but not Russell. There was a whole lot of history between Scarlett and Russell. Haha... that is the story behind my "Scarlett in Red". Too cheesy or too soapy. 😆

@evlachsblog...
Many thanks for mentioned my name in discord.
Greetings....!.
I have follow you.

No worries. It's my pleasure. I am following you, too. Thanks for dropping by @adivender.

good afternoon community. I feel cheated since I lost 0.500SBD with this BOT @anonwhale. since I transferred to him with so much sacrifice 0.500SBD since I saw that they offer that you resteem your post and they give you 25 positive votes. which have never come since yesterday that I use this bot. How sad I feel since it was not easy for me to gather those SBD!
I hope this message greets you from Venezuela

I am really sorry to hear about that. I did try getting help from this bot @anonwhale but I don't know how it could have helped me. I guess with my post bring resteemed by bots, I can get more audience and it's up to people if they would like to upvote or not. So far, the bots that I paid have all resteemed my posts. I hope you will be able to get in touch with @anonwhale and that hopefully, it was just a simple oversight and that they will resolve this concern from their end. All the best!
