ROCK ON WEEKEND! ROCK AND ROLL OF TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW BACK TO BACK - MEETUP AND COLLABORATION! PART TWO – MEET UP & COLLABORATION! 😂😘😍💃🎶🍷🥃🤗🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽

Woke up at 7am, phew! With a slight hangover, but at least will not be late for the bus. Reached Harbour front at 8, manage to get breakfast at MacD. Am not late for my bus! But......just as the 9am is reaching, the staff at Aeroline came down to inform us that our bus broke down so there will be a delay for the next bus to arrive 😱 at 12pm instead! Decision decision, to go home and catch a Nana nap or just stay around Harbour Front for 3 hours!

It would be great to catch a Nana nap to cure the hangover but am afraid that I might overslept and miss the delayed bus and then miss the main event tonight so decided to just hang around Harbour front. There were a few angry passengers and I pity the staff. The staff kept apologising to me and so I told her that it’s not her fault that the bus broke down. Always the optimist, I told her better that the bus broke down now than when we are in the middle of nowhere. That at least put a smile on her face, poor girl! I was also very proud to see this lady stand up for herself and handle the matter professionally towards the unruly and unreasonable passengers. Another power woman!! Appropriate for this week WOMEN EMPOWERMENT!!

So now am panicking as it is 12.30pm and the bus is still not here!! I definitely do not want to miss tonight! As time reaches 12.45pm, the bus arrived!! Another phew of today! Hope traffic will not be bad as I might just have to go straight to Liberal Latte as soon as I reach KL. Journey should be 5.5-6 hours, give and take with 20min one pit stop at Pagoh. So rough estimates, I should reached One Utama at 7pm if traffic is clear and go straight to Liberal Latte for the event.

Left Harbour front at 1pm and as we reached the Singapore Immigration, there was so many tour buses, this is going to take a long time, however the SG counter was very empty. But that did not mean that we get to leave the SG immigration immediately as there were some non-SG and they were stuck at the other lanes, so waited another 30min before the final passenger came on board the Aeroline bus. As predicted, traffic jam at the bridge towards the Malaysia immigration, another half hour delay, and of course another half hour at the Malaysian immigration. When we pass the Malaysian checkpoint, traffic was bad too!!

Using Waze to check what time I will be arriving, I felt very disheartened as it says that I will reach One Utama at 8.35pm. By that time it will be 9pm before I reached Liberal Latte. Not a very happy camper that I will miss a whole hour for the event. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

As predicted reached Liberal Latte at about 9+ and already missed some good presentation from @bitrocker2020 because @perennial was presenting and talking about the main topic of the event as I entered the cafe. Everyone was engrossed and listening to his presentation and education on women’s rights on spousal abuse and how we can help these women or they can help themselves to reach out for the support they needed or required. Very informative and very comprehensive. Lots of discussions, questions and answers were thrown on the floor. He represents the voice for women whom are afraid to reach out for help and offered his knowledge and his expertise on the subject matter. Am so glad that I did not miss this!

I am part of #teammalaysia & #teammalaysiababes , so I stood tall that day knowing all these wonderful Steemians who has been very supportive towards one another and are all behind each other no matter where they come from or who they are, such camaraderie. Such generosity! So much love! Can’t wait for the next event so that I can be a part of it and help out and become a volunteer. We mingled after a sing-along-session, then more late night supper with some of them at Mamak stall till midnight!
