The folks who were buying bidbot votes to support this charity, who were they? Did they have any deals worked out with the charity? Are you claiming it is mostly random people paying bidbots to support the charitable posts? How much money were the bidbots profiting by people paying them to upvote these charitable posts? Do you understand why people might not appreciate that bidbots were being regularly paid sums of money in exchange for upvotes?

Encouraging Questions

Were the downvoters balancing out the bidbot votes with equal value? Or for additional downvote value, or less downvote value? Are people who previously paid bidbots to support the charitable posts now using more effective methods to fund and promote the charity than supporting bidbots?

Can somebody help me understand if there is a middle ground here that will smooth things out so the charity can continue operating? It sounds like a good cause that should be given the same fair chance as anyone else. A lot of people care about animals and want to support those who are going above and beyond to help them find good homes.
