Hello and good morning all,
Today I'd like to share my largest hollow sculpture I've ever created, and with a moose.
He was a bit more than 4ft tall.
Here is the log before I started it. A couple rotten spots but that's the beauty of using wood. Cut it out and replace..You'll see below
Here he is after a couple cuts as well as a start to replacing the rot.
He was close to being carved here but there was more rot to replace.
I cut that out..
And replaced it with solid wood.
A little gorilla glue and a ratchet strap did the trick.
Here he is all carved and fixed, ready for the next stage.
And finished, he sits next to what I normally get orders for, the 2ft version.
Results were a very satisfied customer.
