Laide: Oh spare me all that pathetic tale jaiye. (Takes it to the sitting room). For how long do you want to keep rubbing it on my face and making it obvious that I lost my African home training to ask you out?

Jaiye: Common laide. Do we have to go over this again? I thought we had crossed that bridge a long time ago. Ok since you decided to dwell on the past, fine you asked me out. It got into my head and I was misbehaving in the first two years of our relationship. I made it obvious it was a one sided love. (She bangs the door and then a sad soft music comes up. Jaiye is shown inside in a sober mood while laide is also sober in the car crying. After the song, she reversed the car and then she stopped the car suddenly and went back into the house, her make-up was already smeared with tears. She stood by the door, jaiye raises his head up and saw her)

Jaiye: Baby…. (He went to hug her) you came back?

Laide: Yeah I did. Strange? Nah…. You know I will definitely come back.

Laide: (removes his hand from her body) never use that word again. Jaiyeoba Adeleke you are not sorry. You were not sorry and you will never be sorry, 7 years Jaiye, 7 good years. I kept praying to God to make you fully mine, but obviously my prayers were left unanswered. Jaiye just answer these questions. Why can’t you love me the way I love you? Why are you still keeping her? Am I not enough for you? Why her and not just me? Why do you need me if you still love her? Why is it so hard for you to let go? Jaiye why?
