It says a lot about you as a person to go and downvote random new introduction posts just because you can't get your way.
Have heard a lot of not so nice things about you from others the past couple days as well, pretending to not understand and disagree for greed can only take you so far. Good riddance.
Hive is broken, Ive been here a few years observing and the sad fact is that certain people/entities have too much power...for the most part this is wielded correctly but when it is not it is destructive to this chain and destroys trust. There is a project blowing 1 million a year in dhf funds without oversight yet the small guys are targeted, how does this make sense? Addressing marky and acidyo as the biggest solo players who could change this(besides blocktrades).
I'm very sorry to hear this. I do see some people being bullied into leaving and it's bad for Hive. You have done so much here.
I think you have to decide what is best for you. I just find other social platforms to be crap these days. All they really offer is a big audience, but I realise that is important to many. Hive could be so much more, but a few people spoil it.
I know it goes on, but I have no influence with the DVers, despite what some may think...
I try to focus on the positive stuff in hope that we can build something here. Just because someone doesn't like something here doesn't mean they have to drive it away. We need diversity.
At least I'm not being blamed for this one! These guys did a lot to publicise Hive to musicians plus they made hundreds of GIFs for various projects. This is a loss, so I hope you are happy.
Acid was the one that brought it up to me but I agree there is no reason they should be earning rewards like this.
I have gone after accounts of all sizes and I am the one that took down Haejin an accounts larger than me. I understand you are upset but at least be honest with yourself.
This has nothing to do with stickupboys. This has to do with rising star bots making automated posts to buy tokens on 4-5 accounts. Educate yourself before assuming. He is mad because he likes the project which I personally have no problem with.
Well if nobody makes it clear what's going on then I won't know. Rising Star is a cool project that has also encouraged lots of musicians. I don't know what else they get up to, but I don't think the guy is exactly raking it in. The tokens have lost a lot of value. Card packs cost pennies.
I object to you seeming to take joy in someone leaving. We've lost so many good people (and bad ones) due to petty fights. We really are fighting over a pond compared to the internet ocean and it all seems a bit petty. This will put people off.
You know I'm suffering fallout from this sort of shit and it's not something that I can just mute. I'm getting blamed for stuff that is nothing to do with me and that hurts. I'm not perfect, but I have tried to do good for Hive as I think it can benefit many more people. Given how shit most social media is we need alternatives, but we may feud ourselves to death. That makes me sad.
You have added 2+2 and made 5. They were players trying to help and the posts are all manual. Go and look at who created the accounts and you will see that they are not ours.
I understand stickup may be a friend to you but him making a goodbye post over a few downvotes doesn't mean marky is out here wanting him gone or that the downvotes weren't justified.
We gotta stop demonising downvoters like this, especially those who have a good track record. It's honestly a really bad look for someone of your account age to just instantly assume marky's in the wrong and defending someone else accusing him of "bullying" or "chasing away" people when at the same time you state you don't even know what it really is about. Maybe check on that first?
When I see what may look like random downvotes occur, I don't instantly assume the downvoter is being malicious, I ask to see if the author or downvoter can explain it, then maybe I express my opinion on the downvote or if the author decides to leave and call the downvoter a bully and malicious actor if he may be overreacting, etc.
I just saw a friend upset and Marky makes a joke of it with a gif. It's not funny when good people leave Hive.
From what I've heard people were getting DVs for trying to support the Rising Star game. Meanwhile other projects are allowed to milk rewards on junk comments. That seems like hypocrisy.
I'm getting attacked over other issues that are being blamed on me. I don't have the influence that some may assume. So please excuse me if I sound pissed off.
Being pissed is fine, I'm pissed too when people call POSH "milking rewards", but I don't instantly go on the offensive on others who have a good track record here just because 1 person is accusing me of milking or whatever. It'd probably take a handful of accounts accusing you of something for me to think it may be true until I see it with my own eyes/find out on my own. That's kind of why I unfollowed you earlier cause I thought you'd know better than that than to just blindly agree with the first thing you read/see.
I was thinking like that when i got striked, but in the end most of these downvotes are understandable.
All these shitty "upvote for hsbi posts" or other shitty giveaways dont bring anyvalue to hive and yet suck a part of the inflation same for any type of hive-engine buyback or burn post.
That's exactly why he is throwing a fit. Had 4-5 accounts farming on auto pilot to buy back and burn hive engine tokens and he is mad they got downvoted.
I'm really sorry to see you go but totally get it. I mostly gave up on Hive at the time of the split from Steemit. I found the hypocrisy and "holier than though" sickening so pretty much walked away. I'm still here bewcause of my investment in Splinterlands. Mind you Steemit wasn't much better. I remember being "told off" by a "name" when I was really new and being really upset about it. It was only because of all the great people in the community that supported me that I stuck it out and was glad I did. However, most of those people are long since gone. As you say, it's sad. I was a bit of an idealist when I arrived at Steemit. It took just 8 weeks to see that this was just a reflection of the mainstream and not the ideal I'd seen with my rose coloured glasses. I admire people like Steevc and Shanibeer who are able to do their thing and see the best in it. Will you still be playing RS?
Sell your hive, buy leo and then work away without the downvotes and away from the large hive accounts who have no stake in leo.
Keep your h-e tokens and hard work but move away from the negativity. Khal loves builders and won't interfere unless you are doing something very out of order.
You will still earn Hive on the back end of your content which can be used as you wish but you will only see what hits your account every week.
I've been here for 8 years. It's not nasty for the most part but you have a couple of big ego's with big stake who like to dictate to others. People just get sensitive about money. I've seen a lot worse on every other social platform that i've ever joined. Hive has been the nicest and most supportive.
You can ignore thebad accounts and keep building anyway until you outgrow them.
HW are the biggest issue as they drive off smaller users for silly issues. I've tried to get them defunded before but some of the big stakeholders get more worried about the few pennies they are losing form the reward pool than the tens of thousands paid out to drive them away. Madness in my opinion but i haven't gotten big enough to effect the changes myself yet.
Layer two apps are the real solution. Just build great projects onto Hive's tech.
The devs are top quality here.
So build your project away from the main hive reward pool and Hive powered influence.
Leo is built on hive using it's best features but their token works independently of the hive whales. Still earn hive rewards but the users don't see any of this stuff.
Its not a place to build sadly. I would recommend to check out the nostr music community, at least no one can dv and block there. Artists getting discovered and earning for real compared to Spotify. Wavlake

Take a look at @leofinance and how they are expanding. INLEO was one of the most attacked projects on HIVE. Yet they brought it more users than anybody on HIVE. There it is better to fight out and build better and stronger communities. You have come this far and there are members that do like what you are doing. The problem is the toxic HIVE Whales.
LEO didn't move out. INLEO in on HIVE as it used to be. The project expanded into DeFi and there is now a community project that is functioning like Berkshire Hathaway/Strategy. Check out @leostrategy account to learn more.
HIVE Whales actually kept sending the Return Proposal up and up every time it got passed. It came to a point where all except on Proposal was being funded and the only reason even that Proposal was being funded because @leofinance was voting for it.
At least their Proposal was partially funded after some compromises. Even to this date, the largest account creator on HIVE is @steemmonsters account. Other blockchains would be championing something like that. Instead we are stuck with a great community and some toxic Whales. It would be great if there were some large investors who would buy a large stake and change the status quo.
I'm so sad to read this. I love and believe in Hive, and I've been all-in for the last almost 4 years, but I've seen so many amazing people and projects leave Hive (usually for Blurt) because of abusive downvoting. Downvoting, and downvote trails, where there is no communication as to the reason, is abuse from my perspective. This is the one really big glaring reason that Hive won't be able to grow into its full potential until this issue is resolved. Every downvote must require a reason to be given, and there needs to be some kind of community oversight to review, and when necessary, nullify obviously abusive votes.
I very deeply appreciate what you brought and gave to Hive, and you will be missed, my friend. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I left my last girlfriend because she wouldn’t stop counting. I wonder what she’s up to now. Credit: reddit @savvytester, I sent you an $LOLZ on behalf of tydynrain
I have no words, Sub. For the few months (kinda like a year now? lol) I have known you you’ve been nothing but an asset. Especially with the value you bring. I hope you can build all you envision somewhere that accepts you.
I’m not really knowledgeable in all these things but I know when things don’t make sense anymore.
Guys - just stumbled over this discussion - i have major real life problems I have to follow/handle but this got my attention especially as of my Hive anniversary.
I have no clue or background what really happened here - I can just say please find a solution in civil manner and DO NOT DRIVE away more great guys from Hive please. @stickupboys always did great stuff, content, engagement etc - no idea about relation to @risingstar2 game or abusing anything (many big players do that without penalty).
What made me most sad in the comment section that @steevc gets into a position to be attacked as he defends great people - he does not deserve that - probably one of the top 3 community members of this entire community. Fighting for other friends in the community is great and what makes a community.
There might always be different opinions and preference - but I doubt the boys do something bad by intention.
I support things @acidyo is doing re Posh, I also understand @themarkymark usually (sometimes I disagree with his DVs but can not do a lot but he is often accessable and open to change in such cases which I much appreciate - many hate him I know, many hate acid I know, many hate me but that is fine - have not that power to counter a lot when big boy are acting).
But let us see the community, small and pretty engaged - i know protecting reward pool and fighting spam is important but in that case i do not know why to be honest. Even if someone made mistake maybe give people a chance - we do not have that massive community yet and if we drive away again good members this is shit!
If I can help in mediating let me know. But please find a good solution.
Get all your points, also understand the other side a bit. After acids post and comments I still hope you find a solution that all parties are happy with.
I am not doing that many good stuff - I just try to be me and support what i think is good - am nothing special - a human with other problems these days.
ok got ya -still no idea what he did wrong - usually accept thoughts but in this case when even steevc is discussing and defending I am a bit concerned to be honest. He would not defend bad actors.
There are accounts creating cookie cutter posts daily to get rewards $5-6 per account that is used to buy/burn rising star tokens/nfts. I flagged these and he got mad. Then he started flagging my burn posts in anger. Typical shit show.
Cheers mate. If you get to active here is can attract negative attitudes. I try to do good, but I have no project to hype up. I think most of the big guys have good intentions, but some can be a bit blunt or sarcastic and that may not come across well online when you are dealing with diverse cultures.
I reached out to risingstargame to see if we can help out with some extra voting power in their community in more legitimate ways than what community members attempted to do here.
It is not easy to succeed on this platform and we are seeing that only those people who have a lot of investments are successful and I have been working for the last three years and am promoting this platform everywhere in my city.
I'm sorry to see you come to this conclusion. You guys are great musicians, humans, creators and citizens of this corner of the interwebs. As @crimsonclad often says
"Where people gather, economies are formed."
Which is why I choose to stick around. I think there's a great opportunity to exchange value for value with some pretty incredible people around here.
Crimmy also says (I'll paraphrase):
"Whenever you put humans in one place, they'll be sure to human all over it."
In the apartment building, on your block, in the company, in congress, on a train, in the rain, on a boat, with a goat... humans will human here and there, humans will human everywhere!
Even on Hive.
There will be people on HIVE you don't see eye to eye with and there's even the possibility that you will make some enemies.
I'm sorry if you had a bad experience.
The way I see it, HIVE is one piece of a larger freedomverse with tools like Litecoin, Dash, Digibyte, NOSTR... and more to be discovered. Use some of those tools interchangeably, use them in conjunction, replace some, adopt others.
See you around the freedomverse; We'll meet again.
Marky isn't downvoting for selfish reasons. Anyone who says so, needs to see both sides of coin.
People can argue that his downvotes r good or bad but they ain't for direct financial gains.
My project also got downvoted but I changed how it works although downvotes ain't stopped yet but they will after I show continued behaviour changes.
I didn't wrote a post about it. Instead it's my first ever comment about this matter. My project was downvoted and my reaction was, anyone can upvote and downvote and the sum of + - is what we get. That's it. That's how this system is built. Call it a fight or a balance it's upto people. The code don't care about sentiments of anyone, nor u, me or marky. We r equal for the code.
My project @hivepakistan was downvoted and I don't blame @themarkymark for it.
It's just how the code works. He can keep doing what he is doing and I won't hate him as a person.
(I have my own arguments how, why, when etc.... but code don't see any of that. We need to understand the code to have clarity of how hive works. If we don't like it, we can find other alternatives.)
Why do people forget that rewards are a sum of upvotes and downvotes? Shouldn't people have the same right to downvote like they have the right to upvote? The stigma related to downvotes is soo strong that I fear people will assume wrong things about hivepakistan which r incorrect just because of a negative emoji. But other than the stigma downvotes bring and the problems it will cause me in onboarding, guilding, mentoring.... I don't see any reason of how such downvotes makes hive good or bad. When I joined hive, I knew everything of how it works. It's like signing TOS of a platform and then complaining when we r on the other end.
I am not a victim, I am an example of how the system works. Victim mentality can be changed with right educational material.
It says a lot about you as a person to go and downvote random new introduction posts just because you can't get your way.
Have heard a lot of not so nice things about you from others the past couple days as well, pretending to not understand and disagree for greed can only take you so far. Good riddance.

There is a lot of moving pieces on Hive and it makes building a business on here very challenging.
Until there are clear rules about what is allowed and what is not I think people will continue to run into the same problems you did.
You will be missed homie! If you do want to chat I’m always down and have enjoyed our conversations!

We are not affiliated with all Hivians though.
If people want to do something with their stake, it’s on them not the whole ecosystem because we don’t have defined rules.
We can disagree and voice our opinion but beyond that, not much we can do.
IMO, better to focus on the things we can change and try to make the world a better place in the process.

@savvytester, I sent you an $LOLZ on behalf of tydynrain
(4/10)
Farm LOLZ tokens when you Delegate Hive or Hive Tokens.
Click to delegate: 10 - 20 - 50 - 100 HP
Regardless of the reason(s), I think we all reach this point of burnout at some point. Take care.
I have no words, Sub. For the few months (kinda like a year now? lol) I have known you you’ve been nothing but an asset. Especially with the value you bring. I hope you can build all you envision somewhere that accepts you.
I’m not really knowledgeable in all these things but I know when things don’t make sense anymore.
a
I understand. It is annoying but the little ones cant really say anything without a backlash. And that is another scary thing about Hive.

But please find a good solution.
a
Get all your points, also understand the other side a bit. After acids post and comments I still hope you find a solution that all parties are happy with.
I am not doing that many good stuff - I just try to be me and support what i think is good - am nothing special - a human with other problems these days.
This has nothing to do about stickupboys he is just upset about it
ok got ya -still no idea what he did wrong - usually accept thoughts but in this case when even steevc is discussing and defending I am a bit concerned to be honest. He would not defend bad actors.
There are accounts creating cookie cutter posts daily to get rewards $5-6 per account that is used to buy/burn rising star tokens/nfts. I flagged these and he got mad. Then he started flagging my burn posts in anger. Typical shit show.
a
Have you seen trending? It is largely garbage. There are plenty of rewards.

Yeah, this revenge stuff is pretty human :-). However I hope after having read acidyo post they might come to a solution that makes everyone happy.
Cheers mate. If you get to active here is can attract negative attitudes. I try to do good, but I have no project to hype up. I think most of the big guys have good intentions, but some can be a bit blunt or sarcastic and that may not come across well online when you are dealing with diverse cultures.
I wish you well.

I am sure all of us have good intentions - i just lack backgrihd what really happened?
I reached out to risingstargame to see if we can help out with some extra voting power in their community in more legitimate ways than what community members attempted to do here.
a
That is a good approach - thanks mate - still do not know what really happened and what has been wrong /accused.
I will follow the next days - maybe I can help to calm down people as I doubt these guys really did abuse the system.
No matter what - it shows the community is not dead at least but we should all be fair and open :-).

I need a good starting strategy for Moon this coming season.
What a catastrophe, you guys are some of the most energetic, friendly and dedicated builders here on HIVE and it saddens me to see you leave. !BBH

It is not easy to succeed on this platform and we are seeing that only those people who have a lot of investments are successful and I have been working for the last three years and am promoting this platform everywhere in my city.
😎👍🏾 @tipu curate

I'm sorry to see you come to this conclusion. You guys are great musicians, humans, creators and citizens of this corner of the interwebs. As @crimsonclad often says
Which is why I choose to stick around. I think there's a great opportunity to exchange value for value with some pretty incredible people around here.
Crimmy also says (I'll paraphrase):

Did they make you delete this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Marky isn't downvoting for selfish reasons.
