Steemit open mic week 108 "Say a little prayer" - cover of Lianne La Havas

in #openmic6 years ago

Hello lovelies, I am back, this week and last have been a busy one on my part. But I am happy to be making another video for the openmic. This week I decided to do a cover, and the song is the classic "Say a little prayer for you".

Here in the mountains we had the first day with snow on the top of the mountains, and the last autumn leaves have fallen already. Paving way for November and the first days of winter.
Enjoy the light of the big full moon tonight.

Big love,
Ingrid

Thank you so much @trilumia <3

This cover song is entirely awesome! I never thought the original could be any better. But you nailed it!

Thank you so much @ joechiappetta :)

Oh girl, you are such a likable person. I don't know you and see you for the first time but I must say that I already like you :)

The way you look when you sing is just amazing. You do love music and it's so clear. Your cover is brilliant. And you voice.. I can't even describe it. I like how you play with your voice and I see that you enjoy it a lot.

Thank you for this amazing song. I must admit I like it better than original :)

Enjoy last days of autumn :) I just talked to my mom and she told me that it was snowing in Slovakia yesterday! A little too early :)

Wow, thank you so much for listening, and your kind words @delishtreats!
Well, I like you too! ;)

I hope you have more autum than me, here it is already going below 0, winter is coming. But beautifully clear air.

:)

:) Thank you for getting back to me.

We had a lovely autumn. It was sunny and warm but the last two days it's cold (around 2 degrees) and it rains constantly. I hope we will be able to enjoy a few more nice days :)

Genial interpretación!!! Ëxitos!!!

closed eyes singing from soul, nice performance. Thx

Thank you for listening @gugamusic :)

an angelical voice friend @ingridkorneelia I like with the tuning that you sing, in your face you see with the love that you sing thank God you have a lot of talent @ neymarth11

Thank you so much for listening @neymarth11 :)

Wow! You do not need any musical instrument. Your acapella will already be really great. You have a very cool voice! It matches with your singing with feelings from the heat and the very good catch of your microphone. I wonder, what microphone did you use to record this?

Thank you so much @macoolette! :)
When i record I use the Apogee ONE. It works very well :)

Nice voice, I love your voice
And yes everyone should say a little prayer everyday.

Thank you peachyladiva :)

Wow!
Great voice Ingrid!
I love it very much!
I enjoy it!
The lyrics can be found online right?

Hi Ingrid, you have such a beautiful, angel like voice. Like how you can hold high tones, very emotional, goose bumps on my skin when I listen to your song. No matter what the song is about that is sang with so much passion and love. Also I have to mention beautiful guitar play. Just Bravo and good luck!

Thank you @stef1 for your very beautiful words. I am happy to hear that you liked my version.
:)

Ingrid, what an amazing voice you got! I'm baffled and so happy to found you here! Please, please sing more for us :)

Thank you so much for listening @igster, stay tuned for next weeks open mic :)

Thank me? To hear your voice is like being a blessed by some divine being, that's a kind way to put it but not that far from reality :D

You bet I will, luckily I can listen to your old songs here to carry me over.

You had me at "The moment I wake up". What a perfect and lovely voice you have...and what an amazing and beautiful feel you have for what you are singing. I want all of your albums and tickets to your next show. I LOVE THIS! :)

Thank you so much for listening @dinoromanelli :) If I ever make an album i will let you know :)

I will buy it. I am seriously in love with your voice. I will look forward to your next song! <3

beautifullllll!

big big hug

I do have to ask, have you ever considered trying talent shows like The Voice of?

Hmm, I might have considered it. But somehow alway figured that I would not like to be known as "The Voice - Ingrid" or whatever nicknames you get after such a show.
But I am thinking about making an EP or an album. I just need to find a god producer :)

I think you'd be remembered for your superb performances rather than just for appearing on the show :) That kind of publicity could make it easier for you to find that good producer that might be dying to find someone just like you, especially if you mention that out loud.

There are many strong and well known female artists here on my country who started from such shows and after all these years it is hard to remember that fact even, because all you can remember is the beautiful work they've done after that.

But, you know best of course! Do what feels right, I just think The Voice isn't such a negative thing to be known from and even if some do, they tend to move on fast. I personally just want to hear more from you in the best way possible and I'm sure there are plenty more of us! How selfish of me :)

Thank you @igster, who knows maybe I will do it someday :)
I am working on making an Ep i think it will be in the end.

Perhaps creating an ep, and then trying to get to play songs from it and some good covers in small avenues, pubs and such to get experience is the best approach. After all that you could reconsider The Voice or something similar as a one way to further your singing career.

I think Tash Sultana went through similar route to that,

She performed on the streets for years, then uploaded her songs to Youtube and got found. In the above link you can find her mom peaking behind the corner at 2 min 23 sec, how cute is that :D
