😺 Hello everyone - Hola a tod@s 😺
(Texto en español sigue abajo)
For the Openmic Week 67, we choose to record a song that we play a lot on the streets. But today, we played it inside, and with our friends Ava Atman and @ivan.atman. This brazilian song is called "Oh! Chuva", what means in Portuguese "Oh! Rain".
We love to play it, because it always brings us so much positive energy ! 😎
Hope you'll feel it too!
- Here are the lyrics:
Você que tem medo de chuva
Você não é nem de papel
Muito menos feito de açúcar
Ou algo parecido com mel
Experimente tomar banho de chuva
E conhecer a energia do céu
A energia dessa água sagrada
Nos abençoa da cabeça aos pés
Oh! chuva
Eu peço que caia devagar
Só molhe esse povo de alegria
Para nunca mais chorar
This is a cover from a brazilian band named Falamansa. Down there is the great original song. We kept the same lyrics, but we don't speak Portuguese... so it totally sounds like Spanish. (Apologies to all Brazilians, Portugueses and portuguese-speaking Steemians for the awfully bad pronounciation...) 😅
We did change the chords and the rythm to our way. You will notice it when you'll listen to the original.
The chords make the same progression as "Hit the Road Jack", so sometimes we connect them.
Before we started playing together, we both already played this songe each one on his side. When we met, it just came naturally that we were gonna sing it! We changed it to a more swingy style. The clarinet line and the singing took time to set up to a satisfying form. But now that we've got it better, we still have a lot of room to improvise and this is so nice!
With this recording, you can imagine a little bit our daily life. By this we mean, of course, the energy and the groove of the song, and also, how it is to be both musicians and parents as full-time jobs 😍
This recording has been made possible with a little help from our friends ❤❤❤
Seriously, they learned the song so fast, they gave great ideas, they put their very best mood, Ivan did the sound production, Ava made the picture..... DO YOU BELIEVE HOW AMAZING THIS GUYS ARE?
Please go visit @ivan.atman's page and upvote them, they deserve it! They also have really cool compositions worth listening to! 🎶 We love you ❤ Thank you for everything!
Thanks to all of you that are following us!
Thanks again to @luzcypher and @pfunk to organize and sponsor the OpenMic Challenge! It's SO COOL!!!

😺Hola a tod@s - Hello everyone 😺
(English text is up there)
Esperemos que les guste también!
- Aquí están las letras :
Você que tem medo de chuva
Você não é nem de papel
Muito menos feito de açúcar
Ou algo parecido com mel
Experimente tomar banho de chuva
E conhecer a energia do céu
A energia dessa água sagrada
Nos abençoa da cabeça aos pés
Oh! chuva

Came over here from PYPT, and I was not disappointed!
I really enjoyed the song! Great musicianship, especially since I play both the bass guitar and the clarinet. Your vocals were great, also! Thanks so much for sharing this post in Pimp Your Post Thursday.
I think Steemit has a lack of great music like this. I hope you'll be making more beautiful music in the future.
Also, the toddler in the background is a nice touch. You just need to teach him to throw things with the beat of the music!
Hello @ethandsmith
thank very much for the compliments and your sincere comment!
we'll definetly post more music as we're playing everyday, we've got a lot of songs ready and much more to be done ;)
oh yeah baby's working on his groove XD
You're welcome! I'm in a small band also, so I can appreciate the effort it takes to make a video like this. I'll be looking forward to hearing more of your tunes!
On another note, I'm part of a Discord community called The STEEM Engine. I think you'd be a great fit to join the group, as we don't get many musical posts. It's a great community focused on increasing engagement among our members, so I hope you'll take some time to check it out. Our group account is @thesteemengine, and we run daily curation posts to promote our members' content.
If you're interested, it could be a great way to share your posts with new Steemians! Check out the introduction post for our group for more information, and if you would like to join, you can join our Discord server here.
Also, in your comment on my waterfall hiking post (I'll be responding to that next), you mentioned that you're in Croatia, and one of our members of the group is originally from Croatia. His blog is @awakentolife if you're interested!
I think I liked your "swingy style" version better than the original! Everyone did a wonderful job, and I enjoyed this very much! Thank you for sharing this on the "Pimp Your Post Thursday" podcast on Steemit Ramble discord! 😊
