RE: Skip This if You Don't Want To Read About Someone Who Likes Their Wife A Lot

in #outofthinairlast year (edited)

What a lovely way of telling the world about how you feel about your wife.
I love it!
And the song about the guys' grandparents got to me because it's what my grandparents were like until my grandfathers' untimely death at the age of 58.
My grandmother never really got over him. She never met another man nor did she want to. It's the kind of relationship most want but will never have, including myself. Well, never say never hahaha.

Your wife thinks you're funny. It's a big win in my book. I always used to say (and still do) that I need a man who can make me laugh. I won't settle for less. I didn't so I'm still single. I made peace with that fact and I'm not looking for love. But if it comes on my path, it has to be fun. Nothing less will do.

I love how open you are about your love for your wife. Thank you for sharing this, it brightened my day.

You're most welcome. I'm glad you caught this one.

Raise your hand if every time you hear that song it gets to you a little bit. 👋🏻

I wasn't looking for anything when she and I met. At the time I think I had been single 11 years or something. Dated a lot but nothing serious and, even before her, serious was three years once. I had a lot of growing up to do.

Then we met each other, each from totally different cities and the chances of us being at the same place at the same time was dot dot dot. Now we bring out the best in each other.

I'm doing it again ain't I? All bla bla bla bla Pura this, Pura that. Oops.

= }

Well, if the chances that you'd be in the same place at the same time were near zero, then it was definitely meant to be.
I truly believe that although there is free choice, there's definitely something in life that you can't control. If it has to happen, there's nothing you can do about it to change it, other than walk away. Which neither of you did, obviously.
That's the same reason why I believe I'm single with just my kids.
It's not the easiest way of life but I'm quite fond of the way things are right now.
But if I were to run into that person that makes me laugh until I cry, I'll probably know why that happened too. :)

Don't ever apologise for talking about Pura (I LOVE that name too) in a loving way. Us women appreciate any man who puts their partner on a pedestal. It shows character. Complaining is easier but doesn't add anything. So you, my friend, just moved up a few notches on my list of 'good peeps'. 😉

Let me know if I disappoint and I'll tell Pura! = }

Those kids are lucky to have you Miss LV. Moms earn the right to act like moms.

I got a couple ladies telling me I did good with this one. I'll take it!

Much thanks. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Winter where we are, takes a lot of bundling up just to take the dog out so do me a favor and soak up some sun for me.
