I get your point, but the point I am trying to make is that if you had enough stake PAL and you upvote a post which earns say 36 PAL you get a share of the 50% curation. However, if you don't have a staked PAL and upvote on the same post you get virtually nothing. Just the same way it works with SP. Hence, staking gives you the power to earn more.
