Some traditions still hold true

Your favorite Kubby is officially into her 3rd decade

As exciting as last year was, exciting isn't probably the best word to describe it. Last year was a lot. This year is a lot less. This year would top 2020 no matter what.

Turning 30 is awesome! A whole number just feels... Maybe the world is complete? It's a good feeling of wholeness a feeling of it all being alright and just right. I feel my age in all the good intention that comes from saying that. Contrary to my fellow thirty members, I'm not feeling any pain.

Did you wake up with pain after turning a particular age?

Most have told me to wait for it. Your body will feel achy and if not wait for something to feel off. I've heard it mention that this particular decade marks a milestone that you feel physically. Was this true for you?

If not, like me you may be feeling physically okay. Which is great, congrats to us both! How about emotionally? Are you doing okay? Doing well there too, I say we are heading towards greatness. But watch out, you are no longer walking with the young cool hip kids anymore.

I've never noticed age brackets as much as I do now. Everywhere is saying you are no longer in this particular age group. No longer a young adult, no longer adulting, no longer in the same age group as those just one year behind. You are a full-grown adult. For some, that means a life-changing event. For others, I've noticed it is a combination of different life events. The most common ones mentioned to me or may also be happening to me are listed below in no particular order...

• Back pain
• Back to School
• New Career
• New Promotion
• New Routine
• New Relationship
• Or a combination of them all

For me, this is the first year with so many constants. With a few exceptions, of course, my hair for example is constantly getting shorter..

I love short hair.

The shorter the better. I love it so much more this way. I may also be in love

If you don't then let me give you a few updates. I won an engagement shoot. I wear a ring on my hand to symbolize my soon-to-be new last name. Most importantly, I still love celebrating my birthday ALL MONTH LONG. Even though it is not as loudly announced as years passed it is still very much celebrated.

They may be other life events going on.

At the end of it all, in my world of pink-happy-go-lucky-birthday dust, all is well in the world. I hope you are doing well too. I hope your health is much improved. I hope you are finding a reason to smile. I hope you are writing.
