Pennsif's Sustainability Curation Digest for MSP - week ending 7 March 2021

in #palnet3 years ago

It's been a bright week with plenty of time in the garden.

But yesterday was a dark day when Mr Goose finally left us.

He's had a good run - came to us as an unwanted giveaway about 7 years ago.

Age, and lack of water time due to Avian Flu restrictions, got the better of him.

Farewell Mr Goose.

So I dedicate this week's great sustainability related posts to Mr Goose...

My Five Sustainability Picks of the Week...

Financial Goals and Determinations - Investing discipline and efficient time management by @ravenking13

Baby Number 3! by @knownassam

Pruning the Big Trees - March 3, 2021 by @goldenoakfarm

Off-grid vegan... is it possible? by @fenngen

Method of collecting potatoes from our own land by @sumaiya777

The Minnow Support Project has multiple curators that pick five posts from under-valued minnows each week to highlight through MSP3k. This way MSP and PAL can promote new writers and content creators on Hive, and in effect reward them for doing a superior job.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Goose's demise, sounds like he definitely had a good run!

Geese truly can be fierce and fearless protectors. We used to live by a wide waterway and had several Emden geese. The Alpha male (who lived to be 12-13, best guess) would attack anything he felt didn't belong... even saw him attack the mail carrier's jeep, if he was parked too long!

=^..^=

Yes geese make very good protectors for chickens.

Thanks for the mention!

@pennsif thanks for choice my blog.I really happy to see this great curation.🤝🤝🤝

Poor Mr Goose. Not tried geese, but our chickens are doing okay.

Thank you!

Thanks for sharing this with us @pennsif. I particularly liked @fenngen's post.
