In one of my previous posts I spoke about my autoimmune disorder called Hashimoto Thyroiditis It basically means my body attacks my Thyriod gland as if it were a virus. This leads to several problems such as fatigue, weight gain, dry skin, forgetfulness, muscle aches, anxiety and many more.
I have been doing a lot of reading regarding this disease and I came across many articles about drinking SMOOTHIES. They have the right kind of nutrition for a healthy thyroid.
So for the past week I have been experimenting with making smoothies. I must say I love them, I was a bit skeptical because I never have really been a smoothie drinker especially vegetable smoothies. But I noticed that drinking the smoothies is helping with my fatigue a bit. Because I have been feeling tired 24/7, it does not matter what I do, I just feel tired. So am glad the smoothies are helping.
Today’s smoothie consists of:
- A handful of cabbage
- A handful of frozen peas
- Tomatoes
- A carrot
- Pineapple juice
- Mint leaves
