If you are wondering about the perfect spot to embrace the chilly season in the Philippines, it might be worth considering Atok, Benguet as one of your preferred destinations.
My friends and I made a collective decision to embark on a journey to Atok, Benguet. The purpose of this trip was to cherish our time together once more before our friend returns to Vietnam. Our initial destination was the Northern Blossom, but due to its closure, we decided to visit Sakura Park instead.
We arrived at the Sakura Park ( Haight's Place ) from Baguio City for more than 2 hours, where the sun was shining brightly despite the lingering cold, and it was definitely worth it. As soon as we entered into the park, a vast expanse of lush greenery greeted our eyes. Upon stepping out of the car, the gentle breeze whimsically beckoned all to partake in the enjoyment. The park spans 3 hectares and is filled with vibrant, colorful flowers, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Although we visited when it was not in full bloom, locals mentioned that April is the ideal time to witness its full beauty. Nevertheless, we found the park to be peaceful and charming, making it a perfect spot for meditation and relaxation.
Living here seems so perfect, and really satisfying. You can smell the province's fresh air. I am so thankful for this short gateway because it not only gave me the chance to unwind, but I also discovered a special place where I can escape whenever I need a break.
There are real cherry blossoms in Benguet, specially in Atok, since it is known as one of the chilliest spots in the Philippines. Cherry blossoms typically do well in cold weather. Atok boasts approximately 30 cherry blossom trees that were planted at Sakura Park back in 2015. The trees were a gift from the Kochi Prefecture of Japan to commemorate their 40 years of sisterhood with Benguet province.
Taking a stroll in the great outdoors can provide you with the necessary touch of wilderness to rejuvenate your soul. Natures offer a wonderful opportunity to calm our thoughts and admire the peacefulness and delicate wonders of nature.
