Since leaving and with recent lockdowns, those sitting under the trees have multiplied and some have started building homes where they sat. Seeing them makes one appreciate what you have and that life's cards fell correctly for us who are not sitting with them. (Let us not start the politics of government and how they should have helped and not be corrupt but it's weekend let's be positive.)

I like the way you phrase it! And yes, exactly. How weird are we humans? I think it was Sartre and those guys who wrote about us living inauthentically shying away from our radical freedom.
