Love is giving not expecting.
You can never really love someone if you give something to someone and also expect something in return. How should we learn to love someone? Well, turns out that the best teacher in the world to really teach us how to love is nature. Nature follows an similar tone, it always gives but never expects something in return. For instance, the sun that gives us all light no matter who it is. Equal to everything and everyone. No matter if its an begger in the streets or a king, the same for birds on the tree, and plants that go through photosynthesis. We look at this philosophically, the sun doesn't complain, doesn't praise. We don't even pay for his services of providing us light. Why don't he/she?. Because he/she knows how to love, giving without expecting something in return. Another aspect of nature, water. The same applies here, everyone gets the same naturally. But sadly, we humans are polluting it, then purifying it again and selling it back to you with an price tag. Numerous inventions in this world are drawn from our very own minds. Do you remember when you were born? The very next second that your parent took you in their own hands, they are very much in love with you, they did not take any lessons nor read any book on how to love before loving you. All of this is automatic. No matter how old you are now. After all these years, your mother never expect for you to return anything to her, she even wants you to be happy, wants you to get the best things life has to offer, wants you to be on time for your meals and also wants you to eat healthily so you don't fall sick.
How do you actually love?
It's up to you, which example from nature you want to use and learn from. But they all share an similarity of giving without expecting something in return.
You can do these few things:
A hug when they are in difficulty.
Food when they are hungry
Support when they need it
Wisdom when they want to learn
And finally, peace when they are not interested in your love, walk away and give it to people who need it
Providing peace, love and lastly wisdom.
Hope you found that enlightening.
