Tenerife island 2023: Close lizard shots!

in #photo3 months ago

Hey everyone,

on Tenerife island there are really a lot of lizards and geckos, because there are almost no enemies, no snakes and almost no cats.

Only dogs are a problem there for them and some birds.

But thats why there are more lizards than everywhere I saw all over the world so far and these are one of my favourite animals.

I made a lot of amazing photos and I even needed a lot of time to take some of them, because there are all from the real nature and these animals are very shy.

So I needed to be very quiet, slowly and friendly to the animals for shots like this:

I even have some more very lucky shots, but I think on my other phone, because I cant find it here on this phone.

Stay tuned for them and a lot of other interesting content!

Almost no cats? I live in a cave/tent living community in the rocky semi-desert on South Tenerife, and we have two regular cat visitors. We feed them. There is at least a third cat, and probably there are more cats nearby. Nowadays we often hear their sounds in the night. Currently they are in heat.
