History lesson?
Documenting an old Russian memorial. With this special date (today) in mind, it gets a special twist. Trying to get our heads around is a challenge. But let's have a look at what we have here, let us explore this location in the middle of the forest.
A Russian memorial that celebrates the victory over nazi Germany is fading away. In the mists of the current geopolitical developments, it is looked upon in a very different way.
What you see are the remains of a memorial that also represented the entrance to a Russian military base about an hour north of Berlin.
With the beautiful weather, one can certainly forget the cruelties of WWII and what we are facing right now. It is so hard to grasp that we are again in a war in the middle of Europe. Having Russian and Ukrainian friends that certainly do not agree with what's going on it is simply mind-boggling what power-hungry politicians do.
It once was said "Never again"
The same people just started just what wasn't supposed to happen. It is not like it's no one fault. We have seen this coming I guess.
The google translator certainly had trouble identifying the letters properly. Many of the letters have been corroded.
If anyone wants to help translate it. Would be nice.
One can clearly make out parts of the message talking about agriculture. Depicting, milk, wheat, beats, and electricity one can only guess.
The larger structure is clearly commemorating the end of the war in the Russian time zone on 9th May 1945. Germany celebrates that day on May 8th.
When putting some of the puzzle pieces together one can make out that the northern area of Germany was freed on the 26th of April.
As this memorial fades away it is sad to see that the somewhat good memories are destroyed by even more war. This war can not make sense and never will from a humane perspective.
Let us hope for a fast end to this stupidity driven by power and greed.
Dear @g-shot, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community. However, it lost its funding few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,

Your support would be really helpful and you could make the difference! Thank you!
