Revisiting Tasmania

in #photofeed2 years ago (edited)

Revisiting Tasmania, literally and figuratively. I'm going on another trip to the apple isle in about a month's time. It's been a while since I did any photography, so I'm looking forward to getting the camera out again. I'll be climbing (hiking) some mountains and visiting some waterfalls.

Thinking about photography, I'm reminded how shit Instagram has become for photographers. The algorithm is all about reels, and punishing images. A little while ago I stumbled across another Instagram like app - Vero. I signed up and kind of forgot about it. But in the last week or so, one of the biggest photography influencers on YouTube started spruiking it for photographers. There's now a strong collection of good photographers there. So I decided it was time to get back into it and upload some of my work. You can see my portfolio here.

While going through my photos I cast a fresh eye on some of my Tasmania images. And one that I'd ignored previously in my other socials grabbed my eye. So here it is. The Hazards, Freycinet National Park. In my first post on Hive for a long time. Hopefully some more photography posts to come after next month in Tasmania.

Dear @revo, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,

Hive.blog / https://wallet.hive.blog/proposals
or using HiveSigner.
