Summer time hit Finland quick and hard. It wasn't many weeks ago that there was still snow everywhere and lousy weather. They say global warming is a myth but this weather is making it difficult on the naysayers.
I went out for a long walk today to enjoy the views and I came to the conclusion that I should finally get a new camera after viewing the photos I took today. Hope you enjoy them somewhat regardless.

I also took this video at one point, there was so much white fluffy stuff falling from trees that it almost looked like it was snowing. :)

Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yet conjure up a childhood summer beside a lake in the mountains...
I'm glad to see how hard summer hit Finland as well. We have had pretty much the same experience here in Norway; there was only a few weeks between mowing snow and planting flowers in the garden!
Aaah, summer - that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It's a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends.
The spirit of youth is strong in this one! Guy-sensei would make you his apprentice on the blink of an eye!

A long walk is often considered to be healthy because we all don't walk so much these days. A nice place for a walk or to spend some time must be like this. Lovely place you have got there. These pictures are absolutely beautiful. Cheers

Also why is it so empty, for such a snowy country one would expect people to be out there enjoying the sun, maybe playing with their pets there! I would love to bring my dog to a park like that!
I had to wait around a few times for areas to clear before taking pics, didn't wanna be that guy that photographs random bystanders. :P
I can't believe that thought didn't cross my mind, I thought that the park was empty or that everyone just went poof and vanished

We have pretty much the same weather here in Canada, Penticton. At least we have no snow yet and I hope it will stay away as long as it can.

Pretty. We had our first snow fall last week, but then we had rain wash it all away. Right now it's very windy and there might have been some snow or sleet falling. I hope more snow comes soon, it makes it all sparkly and a pretty wonderland of silver-white magic.

Talking about global warming. I don't think that's News anymore. In as much as I would love to see snow for the first time in my life, but the fact that people get so excited when they see the sun actually makes me have a second thought ...lolzz

Yes, the weather is getting crazy. Here in Belgium we normally have temperatures above 28 only in mid summer, but we already had 6 or 7 days of those!
We should take more care of the world we are living on, just like our body, we only have 1!

Hi Acid. If you are not used to having such nice weather and it is out of the ordinary then I tend to agree with you. Global warming will become more and more of an issue as we wreck this place. The photographs are decent and you don't need to upgrade your camera. What do I know though, you would have more insight into photography than I have. Thanks for the story and the photos.

Do you take walks or also go cycling from time to time? If you go cycling, you could maybe go a bit further and show what's along the roads.
