Day Trip To Rocky Mountain For Shinrin-yoku

in #photography5 years ago

My family and I went for a drive and found ourselves in the Rocky Mountain National Park. While there I took many pictures with my phone. I felt that I should share them with all of you. Walking in the woods of the mountains I felt the peace and connection that I needed. My mindset changed. There is great power in being out in nature. The feel of the ground underfoot. Watching the water rush past and over the rocks. It was breathtaking.

Our adventure started with a walk around this beautiful lake. There were baby ducklings, chipmunks, and blue dragonflies that seemed to dance more than fly.

We smelled the wildflower on the wind as it played with our hair.

Then it was into the forest we went. Feeling at home amongst the trees.

The water playing a marry tune that kept us moving deeper still, as we searched for the falls.

Looking at the river between the tree's underbrush.

We stopped several times just to take a deep breath of the clean fresh air and really enjoying the moment with each other.

Then we reached the upper falls. What a sight to behold.

On our way to get a better view, we found this small hideaway next to the river. We thought not to disturb it or the faeries may not like it.

The falls up close was magnificent.

Looking down the river you could almost feel like you were a part of it.

The trees nearby stood tall and majestic.

The lower falls were also quite splendid.

As we were leaving we came across this clearing and watched a deer settle in for the night.

She was quite content as we drove by.

Having left the park and was on our way home we stopped at a lookout point to admire the sunset.

It was a great day and one that I don't think that any of us will soon forget.

I hope that you have enjoyed these photos. Go out and have your own spontaneous adventure. See where it may lead you. Are you ready for your next step? I’d love to hear about it.

May your stars shine brightly upon you.
