It snowed here today. It wasn't a Rocky Mountain "event" but the snow did fall most of the day.
Despite the weather I took my daily walk through the woods and down to the lake. Here are some of the scenes I saw on the way.
Below is the trailhead leading into the woods.
Further down the path you can see how heavy the snow was as it pushed the small trees down over the path.
And, of course the snow on the dead fall made it look extra cool.
It was ever so quiet. Except for my footsteps there was no sounds to be heard.
The deeper I went the darker it got.
There were no foot prints but mine.
Here is some fresh dead fall that I will have to clear once the snow is gone.
Someone put a chair on these stones. So they could see out to the lake.
Have you ever heard of the "hot seat"? This isn't it.
And here is an abandoned wagon along the side of the road.
The pier on the lake,
the trail I came down,
and here is the snow on the lake.
