I already shared some of the most attractive buildings, churches, and gardens is Sofia (see previous post) and these are definitely must see during your visit here. However, regardless of what I say, words can`t simply describe the magical atmosphere around the city, but hopefully a few pictures can point out the little details making it unique.
Furthermore, the Bulgarian history is a very important part of our life and education. From an early age, we are taught to honor our ancestors who have fought for country’s freedom and have achieved the impossible. Also, valuing their accomplishments has found a way in the modern world through art, and in particular – street art. In the past few years a lot of buildings were covered with Bulgarian poetry and portraits of our great heroes, poets, and revolutionaries. For example, walking around Sofia you can see the faces of Vasil Levski, Hristo Botev, Ivan Vazov and many others, who gave their lives for the greater good.
Briefly said, the energy kept even in the smallest details of Sofia is something that you have to experience in order to understand it. The little things have to be seen, so when you step back for a moment you can visualize all of the surroundings - not only the buildings and parks, but the miniature details which make Sofia so pleasant to be at.
Amazing shots and buildings and very interesting post! It was about time for me to learn more about my neighbors! (Greek ;) ) Great job!
