Watching this spectacular sunrise was just a blessing. Even the birds were lining up in mass to see this sunrise. I do not recall seeing this many birds gather to watch a sunrise before.

The smoke in the upper atmosphere from the fires in the western United States is still adding color to sunrise in otherwise clear blue skies.

Sunrise Video

For this photo shoot I focused on the distant horizon then turned off the auto-focus and the image stabilization on my lens. I used a high f-stop to keep both the foreground and background in sharp focus.

The photographs in the video cover a 43 minute time-frame. The video starts 35 minutes before the official sunrise time.

All the photographs taken have been compiled into a 16 minute 26 second video. The photographs have not been enhanced, you see what I observed.

Music: "1812 Overture" by Tchaikovsky. This music was chosen because the musical transitions seemed to match the tone of this sunrise and the number of photos.

Dawn: The period of the day when light begins to appear in the sky from the sun.
Sunrise: The time when you first see the sun in the morning.

To give you an idea of the when the photographs were taken I am adding a T-time. T-0 is sunrise, T-10 is 10 minutes before sunrise, and T+5 is 5 minutes after sunrise.

This is a representative sample of the photographs in the video. The photographs have not been enhanced, you are seeing what I observed on this morning.
