The Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain that overlooks the city of Cape Town in the southern coast of South Africa. It is a major tourist attraction, with millions of visitors who use the cableway or hike to the top. The Table Mountain is part of the Table Mountain National Park. One of the most unique things about this mountain is that it is the only terrestrial feature on the Planet that gives its name to a constellation which goes by the name 'Mensa' (Meaning the Table). The constellation is seen in the southern hemisphere below Orion around midnight in the middle of July.

Table Mountain is the only terrestrial feature to give its name to a constellation: Mensa, meaning The Table. The constellation is seen in the Southern Hemisphere, below Orion, around midnight in mid-July. It was named by a French astronomer named Nicolas de Lacaille, during his stay at the Cape during the mid-18th century.
