"I wanna go to the restroom."
When we utter this statement to ask for permission, do we always go there to answer the call of nature? Well, I bet either you are a man or a woman the answer is no.
For instance, I told my friends, "I wanna go to the restroom."Do you want to guess why? Well, just for a very simple reason, I couldn't relate to what they were talking about - names of people whom I haven't ever encountered in my years and years of studying. Titles I haven't heard from my teachers and seen in my reading. I was like, "What in the world am I doing here?"As the conversation went along, I was quietly thinking, "Should I get myself 'updated' of all the celebrities, movies, dramas, and... for me not to be out of place?"It was a funny moment, so my inner self wanted to have a break for a little while. I slowly walked to the restroom to rest. lol!
As I entered, this painting and mirrors caught my attention. I took photos of them, and while doing so I said to myself. "I like this. When I have more time to spare, I will learn more about how to paint." It dawned on me when I was younger holding my paintbrushes, dirty hands with paints around in front of my canvas pretending to be like a professional painter with out of this world creativity. Oops, let me pause and get back to my topic.
My friends' enthusiasm for celebrities they admire, loveteams they are a fan of, dramas and this, and that...led me to realize how I am enthusiastic about my own craft? I resolved myself to do something about my interest, so then I will also exude such enthusiasm.
"I wanna go to the restroom," could be a way to be in a place of reflection.
Thanks for reading. ^^
I can relate and often want to escape such trivial situations. I encourage you to pursue your art!
Thank you! ^^
