Transamerica Pyramid

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Whats your favorite building? The Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco would have to be up there for me. Designed by architect William Pereira in 1972 it was the eighth-tallest building in the world reaching a height of 853 feet (260 m). This shot was taken on a Canon EOS 50D, with a Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM at ISO 400 , Focal Length 19.0 mm (30.1 mm in 35mm), Aperture f/18, with an Exposure Time of 1/500.

Like a scene outta Batman! It's really quite a phallic photograph.

Thanks mate !

OMG that brings back memories. I had lunch on the top floor of that 10 years ago, whilst visiting from the UK. At least I think it was that one. Lol.

Wow. I have never been up there. Was the view worth it?

I love the contrast of the building and the sky.

Thanks mate.

I so much Love photography. So superb

Thanks

Mind-blowing. Just being in San Francisco was a dream. I went back recently to visit friends but I'll never forget my first time. It's an incredible city.....just like I saw on the telly. 😉

That building looks ancient. But I'm sure it's super modern on the inside. Much like the Prudential Center. It looks like a tower of junk on the outside - but inside - holy moly!

I have no idea as I have never been in it! Its a cool building however.
