Mostar is definitely one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever visited.
With the population of about 115.000 people it is the 5th biggest city in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The city is located in south part of the country, approximately in the middle between the Adriatic sea and capital city Sarajevo.
The Old Bridge Area is the most beautiful part of the city and it attracts a lot of people from all over the world.
Stari Most (translated- Old Bridge)was build by the ottomans in 1567. and it is the most biggest attraction in the city.
The old town narrow streets paved with stone, houses and small buildings which look like a little fortress and almost everything gives you a feeling that you traveled back in time and ended in 15th-16th century (except for the modern life style of course)
To walk down these streets you definitely need comfortable shoes
A lot of craft shops with traditional handmade souvenirs all across the old town
The Old Bridge
Beautiful green Neretva river
Traditional jumps from the Old Bridge (30 meters high) into the ice cold river
All photos were taken with smartphone - none of them were edited on any kind of way
If you ever get the chance, visit Mostar. The magnificent architecture, friendly people, great food and interesting tradition that has developed over the centuries between Eastern and Western world will fascinate you for sure.
