Picture Stories #395 - Holiday Travel

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

It is time for a short but much needed holiday, and I'm pretty excited for it since for a some time now I've been thinking of taking a break and travelling to some distant place. This trip is quite unexpected since I wasn't aware of the upcoming holidays, but nonetheless it was a pleasant surprise and luckily I was able to get the tickets and do all the booking at short notice. Train travel is fun, and especially here in India train travels can be a challenging as well as enjoyable experience at the same time.

It's been a while since I've been on a train, so I'm looking forward to it. And I'm going to a place which I haven't explored much before, so although I intend to relax during the most part of the trip I also want to do the usual touristy things. I hope to come back refreshed and rejuvenated from this trip.

Thank you for reading!

It is nice to have on and off holidays, I love to be aways, normally I take twice a year, because both times we need to beat least two weeks otherwise you do not feel it. So having 5 weeks I take 2 ans 3, my next one is booked for X-mas, so I am waiting for with anticipation.

The train station that you are taking looks so spacious , I remember when my mother and sister were visiting my sister's friends in India and took a train, my mother was surprise that windows were open and of course everything around was so deep green color.Wish you nice time and a good break from your work :)

yeah i wish i could take longer vacations as we get more time to explore a place, but i'm happy with smaller vacations rather than none at all :D

enjoy your Christmas trip !! :)

the train stations here can be chaotic and we don't travel by train too often now, but during my childhoods we used to travel a lot by trains and totally enjoyed the various trips. Nowadays, for saving time we use flights but still the charm of train travel is there. thanks, i enjoyed the trip!!

Looks like somewhere in South India
