This time I present a small series of photos that I took during my trip to Rome last summer, The Roman Coliseum and the Roman Forum

It is an amphitheater of the time of the Roman Empire, built in century I d. C. and located in the center of the city of Rome. Originally it was called Flavian Amphitheater, in honor to the flavia dynasty of emperors that constructed it, and happened to be called Colosseum by a great statue that was near, the Colossus of Nero, that has not arrived until us. For its conservation and history, the Colosseum is one of the most famous monuments of classical antiquity. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1980 by Unesco
