The Place Where the Fogs are Most Magical - Travel with LightCaptured

in #photography20 hours ago

I have been swimming in the season of the fogs.

Where I live, in the last few weeks there have barely been a day without fogs but those fogs, somehow, I do not find inspiring or motivating. Perhaps the reason for this is the temperatures here have been freezing, on some days far below 0 Celsius. Therefore, I don't think I will be sharing foggy pictures from around.

The Italian province of Tuscany, however, is a completely different story for me.

I love to spend time in the fogs there.

For instance, the fog on that photo above, I felt it like a giant tsunami, coming right at me.

DDH_3553.jpg

Thanks God, it was not devastating.

Well, at least not for me, just for my poor camera that got all wet!

DDH_3555.jpg

So the fog tsunami came to me, washed my face and my clothes, my camera and everything and then slowly defeated by the rays of the sunrising sun...

DDH_3558.jpg

Indeed, it was a magical moment, shared, so I have a witness who will confirm my words, if necessary! :)

DDH_3578.jpg

Here, for another instance, I was feeling like flying on an airplane, above the clouds, touching the sky and on the level of the sun...

It looks like that, isn't it?

Of course, with the only difference I could actually breathe the air outside...

The valley around the city of San Quirico d'Orcia is very beautiful.

That place is a must-visit for everyone who visits Tuscany.

Whether on business or leisure, mark the region and "waste" a few days if you can.

Trust me, you will not regret that "wasted" time.

DDH_3595.jpg

I would "waste" many more mornings and sunrises there.

DDH_3598.jpg

Beacuse its beauty somehow always recharges my inner batteries.

Yup, I ain't a robot! :D

DDH_3616.jpg

The hands of the trees, reaching the sun for more light...

DDH_3623.jpg

Many fables could be written about the area surrounding San Quirico d'Orcia.

DDH_3663.jpg

Fables of past time, fables of rich kings and queens, even sci-fi fables.

Those multiple hills around San Quirico d'Orcia, scattered like hundreds of small crystals of salt falling from that divine palm... they all could tell their own fable.

DDH_3677.jpg

And then later in the day, when the sunshine and warmth finally make all that fog scarce, a different beauty of that magical kingdom is presented to the eyes of the curious observer...
