The onions will usually survive the winter around here, so I have them planted all over the yard. Sometimes we buy them and don't use them all up before they kind of go bad in the refrigerator. Usually if I plant them they will perk right back up and start producing more greens. I like eating them fresh from the garden if they are available - they taste a lot better. I have a few green onions going to seed right now. I'm planning to spread those around the yard some more, we love having them available to eat.
