Clouds ruining my Milky Way shot?

So I had this crazy idea to try the Milky Way sky again! I got in the car in the middle of the night, drove along the edges of the cliffs on the pitch black roads (upside is that you don't see how deep it is). I planted my tripod near a bridge and soon realised that I interrupted someone's sexy night plans by being there (I can still hear in the dark, you know).

The clouds seemed to ruin this shot, but with some Lightroom magic, it turned into something that I like a lot. It might not be the best for sharpness and colour editing, but who cares!! Look at it! 😀

Clouds at night can make for some cool composition. I like it also.

WOW! This is still an amazing shot. The clouds give it a cool nebula feel.

Thanks :)

Postproduction is also important part of photography in my opinion. I know people that has DSLR but shoot only jpg because "if picture is good it doesn't need postproduction" blah blah. Show me any "pro" photographer that makes only jpg's... Soo back to your picture: postprocess is stunning. I wonder, how it looked before :)

And the last thing: shame on you! Maybe these people just engaged?? ;)

It was dark!! How could I have known!! :D

Beautiful shot! It looks far from ruined to me.

Yeah right? That's not what it looked like when shooting it :D Thanks!!

Ya, sometimes clouds add another element to the night sky, as much as we really like clear skies for the stars. :)
Great shot!

And that's pretty funny about the "sexy night plans" :D

ha, I was just relieved it wasn't a wild animal!

Yes, I agree it is super cool. Love that light too.

sky looks great with this clouds
