THE WORLDS MOST FAMOUS GIN

"The Bombay Sapphire is a premium Gin that has a deep balanced flavor based on ten premium selected spices. The rich botanic herbs that are infused within the Gin are Juniper berries, licorice, almonds, lemon peel, root of the iris, angelica, coriander, bark of cassava, tail pepper and Malaguenan pepper. The combination of these botanic herbs give the Bombay Sapphire a deep, complex and yet a very subtle character."

I guess it would be nice to have some variety in my blog posts. Let's talk about Gin. One of my favorite Gins is the Bombay Sapphire. It is rather fruity and botanic, yet dry and not sweet. I made these photographs just for fun because I totally love the color of the bottle. They pop out when you're checking out the variety of Gin. A sign of genius marketing to me, and because of the look and feel, after purchasing this bottle, it will make you feel as if you're some kind exotic royalty from the middle-east.

Gin & Tonic

I have a "special" way of making my own Gin & Tonics. A good friend of mine, he is a master in creating, making and has a love for teaching his ways to craft unique cocktails. Yep, that's right: he taught me - a lot - about taste and mixing. In the end, I turn out to be spoiled because of that. He introduced me to Angostura Bitters a long long time ago, and this 'magic in a bottle' always does the trick to blend and get the most out of all the herbs of a spirit liqor like the Bombay Sapphire for example.

  • Fill up a (long-drink) glass with ice cubes.
  • Add a slice of lemon.
  • Add three dashes of Angostura Bitters (1 dash are about 3-4 drops).
  • Add 50 cl of Bombay Sapphire.
  • Add a splash of tonic.
  • Stir, add more ice.
  • Serve with a lemon twist and enjoy!

I've send these photographs directly to the Bombay Sapphire agency to give them some fanbased artwork. Ha, they thought I was looking for a job and turned me down in a pretty bold way, but I take that as a compliment, since I wasn't applying for any sort of job/work! (silly me, I totally forgot that they are one of the biggest companies that probably get tons of images from photographers that are begging for work). I secretly did hope for some feedback on how to improve my own photography of course, but I saw that chance slipping away after receiving their mail back (they did enjoy the photographs though).

Enjoy your day!

These are awesome Ruben! You really made this gin look inviting, and I don't like gin at all! LOL

Haha awesome! How come you dont like Gin? You're more a whisky guy?

Yoo, we have this also at home. Nice pictures as always! But i'll be honest, I kinda like tanqueray more in the range of mainstream popular gins.
How bout you?

Sweet! Just finished the bottle. Kraken is empty as well, thanks for introducing me to it! I find Tanqeuray a bit too sharp for my tongue. What about me what? Haha
