Today I’ll be sharing with you some drone photography I made last year. Together with my girlfriend and our cozy van we drove all the way from Missouri to California… and back!
It’s was the first time I ever flew a drone and man, I got hooked, haha! It’s such a pleasure to have a complete different view on the world.
I remember the times I’d explain people how photography works for me. I’d tell them, imagine you are not moving yourself physically in a certain situation or location, but simply you use your imagination to get a point of view. Absorb the environment and the elements and position them in your mind. What is important? What do you want to show and how? Of course this method works better and better when you do it more often. I think imagination is something we all have but we simply got to feed it and this way you will grow. (Although it might be triggered pretty spontaneous also – but that’s another subject).
So can you imagine how I felt flying a drone with a camera?! Any position, any point of view you can imagine is possible. This is the reason I have been dreaming since a kid to have a ‘flying camera’, and now our technology evolved to the point that it’s only about $1000 to buy a really decent one.
We crossed about 8 states, searching for hot springs and other beautiful places. This is a short series of what I have seen with my drone, the DJI Mavic Pro.
I have been experimenting with long exposure photography also, I used ND filters to get the perfect shutter speed, I'll share those in my next post
Very nice! Followed you! Trust me, I know the huge task of setting up and taking the shots with the drone.
Thanks for trying to add value to Steemit and not splitting these amazing works into 10 separate posts.
Good job!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your words. After 4 hours there are only 4 views on here though, haha including my own probably. Ah, well...
You can't rely only on others finding you. Search for other drone enthusiasts by following your own tags used in the article and follow some of them, get involved, comment on them, make your own friends. This is the underlying goal of Steemit. You are not only a content producer but also a curator for others. This ensures the content is high-quality. This will help raise more awareness towards you and your work.
And others will get rewards for resteeming you. Just don't rely on it for quick money, give it a month. So the ascension will get exponential after a while. I can see it on my channel & I am three weeks in.
I would write for free anyway, as I really like the platform. Good luck!
Again, your work is awesome! I will resteem it right now!
Yes I am aware how a community works, but thank you for clarifying! I'm not here for money at all actually. I make my money with trading hehe, which goes well. Thanks a lot man, all the love
If you say it goes well now, wait until mid-February :D
Been trading a year now and yeah I know what you mean, at the moment I'm getting all settled and ready for take-off haha, it'll be a wild year man
Love the shot at McWay falls!
Glad to hear that! People pay entry and I got the same view for free, hehe
