You know what happens when someone cuts into a part of your body??

Nothing

Except your hair might get a bit shorter.
Truth. It happened to me just yesterday.

Gone are my luscious locks!

But I did get to sit in a chair, that was also a car and the lovely hairdresser said that it has been seating little kids getting their hair cut for the first time for over 30 years now. I don't think it was the same hairdresser but Mummy used to come to this salon when she was a little girl too. She didn't get to sit in CarChair though because she is over 30. shhhh.

The hairdresser asked me to turn my head this way and that and then put my chin on my chest. How long did she think my chin was and how can I both do that and look in the mirror? Chin perception excluded, the hairdresser was really lovely and made my first haircut experience a pleasant one. It only took about 5 minutes which I think is due to her professionalism. Mummy goes to some hack of a backyarder who takes three hours to do her hair.

I am guessing her hairdresser is much cheaper.

As you can see, I was a bit worried about not being able to reach my chest with my chin. Can anyone actually do that? I am guessing it doesn't look attractive - kinda Jabba the Hutt-ish

What do you think?

I was given some advice on what style I should go for and it was a kind of jaw-length bob. I don't know who Bob is but he must be one stylish dude if he and I have the same haircut.

But I wonder if he has a braid like this!!

Daddy did it.

In his dreams.

The hairdresser put in the little scalp braid because she thought I looked pretty gangsta. I reckon it was the pink dinosaur shirt I was wearing. Not many can pull off such an ensemble.

I haven't been around much lately for several reasons however, this blog is meant to include some of my milestones and I think getting a first haircut definitely qualifies. Daddy kept a lock of my hair for either a keepsake or witchcraft, I am not sure what. Finns don't keep these kinds of memories it seems - but they are happy to keep wearing parachute material tracksuits from 1985. I guess everyone has their own sentimental values.

Do you have anything weird kept from your childhood?

Looking good :D

I hear parachutes are quite flammable so be careful not to stand too close to the people wearing that attire.

I'm not sure of any weird keepsakes from my childhood, but I have a tooth from my daughter which reminds me of a time she has small steps too.

In Finland, couples wear matching tracksuits.

I still have all my teeth but I wonder, does the tooth fairy have an anon account and pay in crypto yet?

You look beautiful 😊 and I’m happy your first experience with a hairdresser went so well!

Be aware though, this is how they lure you in... first it’s braids and then it’s some name brand shampoo you just have to have. Be strong girl!

Let your Daddy have his witchcraft, just means he loves you bunches ❤️ even if he doesn’t wear track suits.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for making me smile 🤗

😘

I am happy with Johnson and Johnson's baby shampoo. When I say "happy", I mean I tolerate it.

Daddy is one of those daddies that is going to be teased by my friends for his attire.

Enjoy your afternoon 😚

Thanks for putting a smile on my face with this post!

Was it the tracksuits? You know exactly the style I am sure.

No, it was you. And yes, I know the style.

What an absolutely precious haircut! My weird thing is from when I was smaller than you and picked up and swallowed a penny that lodged in my windpipe and had to be removed at the hospital. My mother kept the penny. I do not think of it as a lucky penny at all!

I could basically use these tips in the near future with my kids of course.
