The Tallest building in NYC
Talking with @pappillioncharity in the comments of a post where I mentioned the tallest buildings in NYC, and he said it would be cool to see shots of the tallest buildings in NYC, and this will be the first post in this series, starting with One World Trade Center

One World Trade Centre at 1,776 Feet is the tallest building NYC and for that matter in the Western Hemisphere and the sixth tallest building in the world
The Lines on the left of the first photo are part of one of the Wings of the Occulus Building and transportation hub which can be seen in the next shot

Although seeing Tower one standing tall and proud is impressive to see one cannot help but think of the horrible attack on 911, and thats why I went with a more somber Mono edit for this next shot.
My thoughts go out to all those who lost family and friends on that day.

One thing I found heading around the tallest buildings in NYC well not found was reminded how hard it can be to get clear shots of some of the buildings without other buildings in the way, but when the building is the Occulus as in the next shot I don't mind it so much.
infact I do quite like this shot on Tower one with the Wing of the Occulus in the foreground

Next up in this series will be Central park Tower but I am not sure when as although I have taken photos of it I have not edited them yet :)

I haven't been back since they built this. I really hope I get the chance to see it one day. I was just talking with my wife the other day about something that is in NYC and I was thinking that I need to take her there someday.
IT is such an impressive building, my plan for this series is to show at least the 10 Tallest buildings which I discovered has changed quite a bit between last year and now, well and next year when some of them will open
Previously living in NJ for most of my life, until three years ago, you would think that I would have seen these marvelous structures, but have not done so as of yet.
These pictures are fabulous and a stark reminder of that tragic day.
I worked in Cliffside Park as a teacher for most of my teaching career.
Cliffside Park is directly across the river from the Twin Towers. As that day unfolded the entire school was on lock down and by noon the students had been picked up by their parents and the teachers were dismissed. Before going home, a couple of us went to the cliffs of the river on the NJ side where we were able to see what was going on. As a crow flies, we were no more than three miles from the burning structures, and we all stood there in disbelief.
I think I know where cliffside Park is I lived in Jersey City for a few years and think I went up that way once just past North Bergen isnt it I was overseas in Bosnia at the time of the event but watching it on TV i was in total shock and disbelief, i cant imagine what it must have bene like seeing it first hand across the river

It truly is a mix of beauty and a cncrete jungle
Those are some great shots of the building, I don't imagine it is easy to get a picture of such a tall structure, even with wide angle lens.
I didn’t have my widest lens with me but even if I had it ANDRES tricky to get shots of these buildings with all the others around this one was perhaps the easiest

I really like the distinct artchitecture of the Occulus! It is one of my favorite! I especially like how you meshed the two together to make the shot of the Tower and it.
As easy as you make it seem, I find it a challenge to photograph them and make them stand out so well!
