Hi Steemians
I have always been fascinated by bees (one day I must get myself a hive) and on a recent trip down to Brighton visiting my Sister I thought I would test out my new macro lens and capture a few of these fluffy buzzyz’s on her lavender 😃
Unfortunately it was a little wet, and not all the bees were out to play, though did manage to get a shot of two different types of bee!
White tailed Bumblebee

The cutest and fluffiest of all bees… (ok i don’t know that to be true but they certainly are fluffy!!). The White-tailed Bumblebee is a very common bumblebee throughout Europe which pops out in early spring and can be seen buzzing about through to the autumn. It can be found anywhere there are flowers and yummy nectar to feed on.
Honey Bee worker

Although less fluffy than the humble bumble, this wee beastie is the true workhorse and lives in huge colonies with up to 50,000 other bees!! Compare this to the bumble which is tiny in comparison living with a mere 150 friends. But best of all honey bees produce honey!!!
There are three types of honey bee that live in the colony: a queen, female works and male drones. In this picture you can see the worker, busy at work collecting nectar.
Haha love bees! The second one is really digging into that flower :)
